Santpedor combines medieval architecture and local traditions with circular routes through the town and surrounding countryside. The destination can therefore be explored from different perspectives: through its churches and memorial sites, as well as along paths beside a canal, through an agroforestry landscape or to historic buildings.

Architecture and local history

Two distinct architectural features meet at the Església de Sant Pere d'Or: it has both a Romanesque portal and a Gothic bell tower. The Ermita de Sant Francesc dates from the 13th century and was later altered. Both buildings provide a tangible setting for the town's history, although their architecture does not belong to the same period.

The Palau dels Comtes-Reis is also part of Santpedor's historic character. During a municipal guided tour of the Vila Medieval in 2023, it was presented as one of the medieval heritage sites. The Ruta del Timbaler del Bruc has a different focus: this walking route passes through various places in Santpedor that commemorate the Timbaler del Bruc and the Battle of Bruc.

The Fira de Sant Miquel has a history spanning eight centuries and is one of Santpedor's deeply rooted commercial and cultural events. Another historic connection is the Camino de San Jaime: Santpedor preserves its tradition and traces. Together, these themes show that the town's history is visible not only in its buildings, but also in its events and the legacy of routes associated with it.

Circular routes with different points of interest

The PRC-131 – Voltejant Santpedor is a circular route of about 28 kilometres. It starts and ends at the Aiguamoll de la Bòbila; the starting point is accessible by vehicle and has a car park. The route follows the Sèquia for around one kilometre. Its length, circular layout and shared starting and finishing point give the route a clearly defined character.

The three mountain-bike routes around the Séquia have a different connection to the canal. These are also circular routes and pass through the municipality of Santpedor; at the same time, they connect the town with the settlements along the canal. This distinguishes them from the PRC-131 in terms of their described focus: here, the emphasis is on the connection between Santpedor and the settlements beside the canal, as well as on the circular route format.

Landscape, water and literature

The Pel riu d'Or fins a Burgueroles route passes through the agroforestry landscape of Pla de Bages. Its landscape features include dry-farmed fields, small stands of white pine and the Riu d'Or stream. The route also leads to a well-preserved brick kiln at a weir on the Riu d'Or. Here, the landscape and the structure are part of the same route, rather than being considered separately.

Water and agricultural heritage are at the heart of the Tolls de la Riera de Bellver route. It passes an old restored grain mill, located below the large working farmhouse of Vallbona. The route also includes a series of waterfalls and pools coated with tufa formed by limestone and mosses. Along this same route, visitors encounter restored heritage, a working estate and distinctive water features.

The Aiguamoll de la Bòbila is also the setting for an ornithological-literary trail: since May 2011, a path there has featured poems by Celdoni Fonoll. The PRC-131 also starts and ends at this location. The two offerings therefore share a connection to the Aiguamoll, but have different focuses: a circular route in one case and a trail with poems in the other.

The landscape routes can also be distinguished by their main features. Pel riu d'Or passes through fields and small stands of white pine to a brick kiln; the Tolls de la Riera de Bellver route focuses on waterfalls, tufa-coated pools and the relationship between the mill and the working farmhouse. This offers a practical guide when choosing whether to focus more on landscape and water features or on agricultural and architectural heritage.
