Zakrzewo can be explored through two distinct themes: technical and rural local history, and a characteristic moorland landscape. The water tower stands at the former Linia-Zakrzewo railway station; south of the village is the former Evangelical cemetery, and Białe Błoto stretches along the municipal boundary. Other points of interest include Route 7 between two lakes and a dated reference to bus route 612. When choosing a holiday apartment for a stay in Zakrzewo, you can use these themes as a guide and first decide whether local history, moorland vegetation or Route 7 best matches your excursion interests.

Water Tower and Rural Heritage

The Zakrzewo water tower dates from the early 20th century and stands at the former Linia-Zakrzewo railway station. Its location adds a concrete link to the former railway station to its history and places the structure within the local history. Its precise location is therefore more than a simple place reference: it connects the historic tower with the former station as a distinct part of local history.

A historic fire engine is also located in Zakrzewo. It complements the water tower with a different kind of technical object: one is a structure, the other a historic vehicle. This makes it possible to explore local history through both a building and a vehicle. Zakrzewo’s historic rural settlement layout is also designated as an area within a heritage conservation zone. The cultural theme thus ranges from an individual technical structure to the historic layout of the village.

The former Evangelical cemetery lies south of the village, outside the built-up area, and is no longer in use. It is dated from the 19th century through the 1930s. Its location, former religious affiliation and period make it a distinct part of local history. Unlike the historic sites located in the village, it lies outside the built-up settlement.

Moorland Landscape and Plant Life

Białe Błoto offers another way to explore Zakrzewo’s themes: the peat bog covers about nine hectares and lies in Zakrzewo along the municipal boundary. It features transitional and raised bog communities, as well as rare natural features such as hummock-and-hollow bog vegetation, round-leaved sundew, long-leaved sundew, marsh rosemary and crowberry. The area and the specifically named habitats and plants give the nature theme a concrete framework.

While the water tower is described as an individual technical structure, Białe Błoto can be explored through its area, bog types and vegetation. Nature enthusiasts can therefore consider several aspects side by side: the transitional and raised bog communities on the one hand, and the specifically named plants and vegetation types on the other. This makes it possible to consider the bog as a distinct natural area, rather than merely as a generic landscape backdrop.

Route 7 Between Lakes and Forest

Route 7 adds another natural highlight. Its natural attractions include Jezioro Morzyc and the surrounding forest; the route runs between Jezioro Morzyc and Jezioro Trepczykowe. The route is straight and has no inclines. Unlike Białe Błoto, which is described through its bog habitats and plants, Route 7 can be experienced through its lakes, forest and course. This offers a choice between a specific bog area and an excursion route featuring two named lakes as distinct nature themes.

Travel by Bus

An entry updated on 15 September 2025 lists bus route 612, operated by PKS Gdynia, via Linia and Zakrzewo. Check the current departure times before travelling. This distinguishes the bus route information for getting there from Route 7 as an excursion route, without presenting the two as a single route.
