Lemany is one of the holiday destinations on Lake Gowidlińskie. When planning your trip, it is worth considering the town and the lake as different spatial scales.
Lemany and the lake in the regional context
Lake Gowidlińskie lies in a large glacial trough that extends from Gowidlino to Sulęczyno. Its winding shoreline is more than 21 kilometres long. The trough describes the landscape form of the lake area; the shoreline shows its extent. These offer two different but complementary perspectives: the geological setting and the course of the shore. Lemany is one of the holiday destinations on the lake, whose landscape extends beyond any single destination. This means you can choose the town as your destination while also including the lake region as a wider setting for your stay.
Shore and waterscape
The lake’s shores are high and steep in places; some sections are difficult to access. If you plan to spend time by the water, take these differences into account rather than assuming the shoreline is uniform. The winding shoreline describes the entire lake shore, but its features and accessibility vary from one section to another. In the wider region, the wooded peninsulas and islands known as “Ostrów” can also be reached by water. These offer different ways to explore the lake landscape: the character of the shore and wooded landforms accessible by water.
A connection between Gowidlino and Lemany
A footpath and cycle path about three kilometres long leads from Gowidlino to Lemany. This connects the two towns; the more than 21 kilometres, by contrast, refers to the lake’s winding shoreline. The two figures describe different scales, not a single route. If you would like to include both towns in your travel plans, the path offers a practical point of reference. If your focus is solely on Lemany, Gowidlino can remain an optional addition in the surrounding region.
Finding accommodation and location
In the wider region, accommodation is available on the shores of Lake Gowidlińskie for a lakeside break. When considering specific listings, check the stated location before comparing it with your travel plans. This keeps the location clear, after which you can decide whether the wider lake region is also an option for an overnight stay.
