Kąclowa lies in the Biała Valley at an elevation of about 400 metres, at the foot of Chełm. The village combines a clearly defined mountain landscape with historic buildings and routes suited to different activities, including hiking and cycling. Those looking for a holiday apartment can therefore plan their stay around the landscape, architecture and routes.

Mountain Ridges Around Kąclowa

Chełm (779 m) rises to the east; to the west lie Modynianka (679 m) and Jaworze (882 m), and to the north, Rosochatka (753 m). South of Kąclowa are Mała Kiczerka (545 m), Dział (682 m), Ubocz (620 m) and Wojenna Góra (794 m). The elevations and compass directions provide specific points of reference: Jaworze is higher than Chełm, while Mała Kiczerka is lower than Wojenna Góra. Kąclowa is particularly known for its beautiful views in the Chełm area.

Church and Chapel

The branch church of St. Adalbert is part of the Wooden Architecture Route in Małopolska. It was built between 1926 and 1929 to a design by Z. Mączeński, who based it on the traditional regional building style. The church has an organ dating from 1793. A building from the early 20th century and a much earlier instrument stand side by side here—two specific historical dates in Kąclowa.

Another historic building is the Chapel of Our Lady of Częstochowa. It was built in 1858 through the foundation of Stanisława Skraba. Its architecture can be described through several details: the chapel is built of stone, plastered and covered with roof tiles. The semicircular entrance is closed by an openwork gate. Inside are an image of Our Lady of Częstochowa and figures of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Alongside the year it was built, the choice of materials, the shape of the entrance and the religious furnishings each offer a distinct aspect of the site.

Hiking Trail and Cycling Route

A green hiking trail leads from Grybów through Kąclowa towards Jaworze. The cycling route is described as a loop returning to its starting point: it runs from Ptaszkowa through Królowa, Bogusza, Binczarowa and Kąclowa to Grybów, then back to Ptaszkowa. These details offer two different ways to plan a trip: a hiking route that passes through Kąclowa on the way towards Jaworze, and a cycling route through several named places. Check the current route information before setting out by bike.

When looking for a holiday apartment in Kąclowa, you can first consider whether the mountain ridges and views, the religious buildings or one of the routes should be the focus of your stay. These three perspectives provide a clear framework for choosing a place; you decide which one matters for your travel plans.
