The Boros Imre Helytörténeti Gyűjtemény és Tájház is on Hungary’s list of tájház institutions for 2026. It is intended for interested visitors and ethnographers. The Szent István király Church offers a different historical connection. Construction began in 1779; it was blessed in honour of Saint Stephen on 20 August 1782. The two dates mark different milestones: the start of construction and the later blessing.
Gói-tói Holt-Tisza: shore fishing
The Gói-tói Holt-Tisza is a 60.47-hectare oxbow lake in the Kőtelek floodplain and is managed by the Közép-Tisza-vidéki Horgász Egyesületek Szövetsége. Its winding course and varied shoreline create conditions for shore fishing. Fishing at this water is permitted only from the shore; therefore, do not plan to fish from a boat, and check the applicable fishing regulations before your visit. From Kőtelek, the oxbow lake can be reached via roads outside the village in the direction of the Tisza.
