Historic walking routes also lead to notable sites and buildings, with information boards explaining their significance. The two routes are 9.8 and 16.3 kilometers long. For a longer outing, the 28-kilometer Mill Tour passes through the Unewatt Landscape Museum and continues to Langballigau. The different route lengths make it easy to choose between a museum-focused trail, historic walks and a longer tour. The museum is located at Unewatter Straße 1a in Langballig; visitor parking is available on Bundesstraße 199.

Cycling route and ferry connection

The Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route passes through Langballig between Glücksburg and the Schlei near Kappeln. The Mill Tour offers a different focus, passing through Unewatt and Langballigau. When choosing a route, consider whether you’d prefer a longer ride along the coast or a tour that includes these two stops.

The M/S Feodora II operates scheduled services from Langballigau to Sønderborg. Ferry schedules and services can change due to the weather, so check the planned departures before making your plans.
