Around four kilometres around the reservoir, plus learning stations and geocaching: the Forest Adventure Trail gives Trassem a distinctive nature theme. The Saar-Leuktal Panorama Trail and the Maria Croon Trail are additional hiking options starting in Trassem.

Forest Adventure Trail and Starting Points

The Trassem Forest Adventure Trail is an educational trail about four kilometres long, running around the reservoir. It features activity stations designed for children, a beekeeping information station, and two official geocaching routes. So the trail offers more than an approximate length: its learning stations, beekeeping information, and geocaching provide different areas of focus. If you plan to include the trail in your stay, you can decide in advance whether to focus mainly on the educational trail or the geocaching routes.

You can start at the car park at the forest entrance to the Forest Discovery Centre or at the sports ground. A large accessible toilet is available on site. Check current access information before your visit, as local works or facility maintenance may bring changes. You should also check the trail conditions before travelling, using the latest local information.

Hiking from Trassem

Hiking options starting in Trassem include the Saar-Leuktal Panorama Trail and the Maria Croon Trail. They add to the choice beyond the themed Forest Adventure Trail. The Forest Adventure Trail is defined by its approximate length and learning stations; before setting out on the other two hiking options, it is advisable to check the current trail markings and conditions.
