Alta Lumina in Les Gets is one kilometre long: this immersive night trail uses light, images, scenography and interactivity. It operates year-round; however, booking availability depends on the season and date. So check the dates for your stay before travelling. Unlike the ski slopes and bike park, the focus here is on staging with light and images.

Mountain sports with different seasonal rhythms

For winter planning, the local Les Gets–Morzine ski area lists 120 kilometres of slopes and 48 ski lifts. As seasonal infrastructure figures can change, check the latest operating information before travelling. The Gets bike park offers a distinct summer option: it has 128 kilometres of marked trails for all ability levels. Summer opening and lift access vary by season. It includes a Kid Zone, Coaching Track and Pump Track. The kilometre figures refer to different things—ski-area slopes and marked bike park trails—and are therefore not a direct comparison of the same type of route.

At Lac des Écoles: water and a walking route

At Lac des Écoles, different visitor experiences come together at the same named location. The Wibit is an inflatable water obstacle course with climbing walls, trampolines, catapults and slides. The activity is seasonal; check current operating information before your trip. Swimming at Lac des Écoles is supervised from the end of June to the end of August. Also check the latest opening dates and bathing conditions in advance. As another way to get active, the Tour du Lac des Écoles is considered an accessible family walking route. This lets you distinguish between a water obstacle course, supervised swimming during a limited season, and a family walking route.

Cheese-making at the Fruitière des Perrières

The Fruitière des Perrières offers a free guided tour every Wednesday at 10 a.m. by reservation. During the tour, the cheesemaker demonstrates how cheese is made. The schedule is current and subject to reservation; check the latest date and time before travelling. Abondance, Tomme, Raclette and Saveur des Gets cheeses are made on site. If you are interested in local cuisine, the visit combines a practical insight into the production process with four named cheeses.

Village history at two locations

The Musée de la Musique Mécanique is housed in the village’s oldest building, a former house dating from the 16th century. The museum’s historical significance is therefore also tied to the building itself. The Manège des Gets dates from 1871 and is listed as a historic monument. Each offers a different historical focus: the museum explores the history of a former village house, while the Manège is associated with a specific year and listed status.

Views from Mont Chéry

Mont Chéry offers a 180-degree panorama of the Mont Blanc range. If you are looking for a landscape viewpoint in addition to mountain sports and culture, this is a clearly defined place to take in the scenery. The panorama offers a different focus from the ski slopes, bike park and museum visits.
