Moriani-Plage is the seaside resort on the Tyrrhenian coast of San-Nicolao. For planning, the town offers several distinct points of interest: the beach and seasonal coastal walkways, Spassiverde as a link to Prunete, as well as parks, cinema and cultural events. The offerings differ by location, type of activity and season. This means you can decide whether the focus of your stay should be the coast, outdoor activity or a summer cultural programme.

Coast and seasonal walkways

Moriani-Plage’s beach is one of the beaches on the Costa Verde. Costa Verde beaches are described as easily accessible, with free parking and parking spaces for people with disabilities. In summer, wooden walkways are laid out along the Costa Verde coast, connecting various coastal locations. This adds seasonal connections along the coast to the beach experience. When planning your time by the sea, you can consider the beach and the walkways as distinct features: the beach is part of the seaside resort, while the walkways connect several coastal locations in summer.

Spassiverde between Moriani-Plage and Prunete

Spassiverde is a 6 km-long, secure and playfully designed route connecting Moriani-Plage with Prunete. It can be used on foot, by bicycle, mountain bike and on horseback. Its endpoints and length give the route a clear framework, while also offering different ways to get around. When planning, you can therefore consider both the connection between the two places and your preferred way of getting around.

Parks and leisure activities

Parc Padulella is located at the southern exit of Moriani-Plage. It has numerous children’s playgrounds and a 1 km fitness trail with various exercise stations. Compared with Spassiverde, the trail is considerably shorter and centred on individual stations; Spassiverde, by contrast, connects Moriani-Plage with Prunete. The activity options can thus be distinguished by their length and format: 1 km for the trail in the park, 6 km for the route between the towns. The open-air theatre in the same park hosts numerous cultural events throughout the summer.

Parc Aventure de Moriani is located in Moriani-Plage in Haute-Corse and has two inflatable castles. This is another leisure facility in the town, with a specific feature distinct from the exercise stations at Parc Padulella or the ways of getting around on Spassiverde.

Summer programme and local history

Ciné Costa Verde screens a different film programme every evening in summer. The cinema is about a ten-minute walk from the centre of Moriani-Plage. The open-air theatre at Parc Padulella hosts numerous cultural events throughout the summer. The offerings differ in rhythm and format: the theatre provides events throughout the season, while the cinema screens different films every evening. This gives you a clear choice between the open-air theatre and the cinema when planning an evening.

Moriani-Plage was the departure point for Ghjacintu Paoli and his 14-year-old son, at the time, when they went into exile in Naples. This historical episode adds a biographical connection to the town alongside the themes of coast and leisure. It links Moriani-Plage to a specific event and also identifies Naples as the destination of their exile.
