From the Belvédère du Puy de Moufle, panoramic views stretch across the Anschald reservoir to the Chaîne des Puys and the Massif du Sancy. Bromont offers a striking introduction to the landscape, along with a variety of themes for your stay: hiking trails, a protected church, activities on the water and a geological curiosity with bats. When planning your visit, it is worth keeping the relevant conditions in mind: the viewpoint is open daily year-round, while the corn maze is a seasonal offering.

Panoramas and hiking

The Belvédère du Puy de Moufle is a specific place to take in views of three distinctive landscape features: the Anschald reservoir, the Chaîne des Puys and the Massif du Sancy. It is open daily throughout the year. Check local conditions before your visit so your plans reflect the current situation.

Two different hiking destinations are featured. The GR®89 – Chemin de Montaigne leads to the hamlet of Malsaigne in the commune of Bromont-Lamothe. The route to Puy de Neuffont, by contrast, is a 15-kilometre circular hike leading to the 964-metre-high Puy. Its circular route and distance provide a clear guide when choosing a hike; conditions on the GR®89 may vary seasonally. Check them before setting out.

Culture and nature

The Église Saint-Martin in Bromont-Lamothe was built between 1866 and 1868 by diocesan architect Aymon-Gilbert Mallay. The entire building and its grounds are protected as a historic monument. Its construction dates, architect and protected status give the church a clear cultural and historical significance, without requiring a longer itinerary of stops.

Pranal is a geological curiosity and a refuge for a unique gathering of bats. This gives the site a different focus from the viewpoint and church: here, geology and bats take centre stage. Those interested in nature and Earth’s history will find it a distinct topic alongside hiking and architectural history.

Water and seasonal activities

The swimming area at Plan d’Eau d’Anschald has a small beach, and fishing is also possible there. The swimming area has accessible toilets and showers in the communal snack bar building. As seasonal rules and facilities may change, check the latest conditions before your visit. The beach, fishing and sanitary facilities offer different options for a stay by the water.

Pop Corn Labyrinthe offers a 90-minute family course through a corn maze, with large wooden games. As this is a seasonal offering, check the current opening dates before travelling. In Bromont-Lamothe, Enola Sled Dogs offers activities with sled dogs, including an introduction to driving a dog team. Check operating and booking details in advance if you are planning this activity.
