Tronget offers several distinct reasons to stay: a church building with an older section dating from the 12th century, the Circuit des Trois Clochers, two ponds with different uses, as well as bicycle rides and quad bike hire. If you are considering the area, you can focus on architecture and local history, walking, fishing or outdoor activities.
Church and building history
The older part of the Église Saint-Maurice-et-Saint-Vincent dates from the 12th century. The church and the square in front of it took on their present appearance in 1907. The two dates refer to different aspects: the 12th century applies to the older part of the building, while 1907 refers to the appearance of the church and square. This clearly distinguishes the medieval building history from the later design.
Walking through three communes
The Circuit des Trois Clochers starts in Tronget at Place de l'Église and passes through the communes of Tronget, Le Montet and Rocles. The walking trail is 11 kilometres long and rated easy. For planning purposes, this gives you a named starting point, a specific route length and a stated difficulty level. The route extends beyond Tronget through two other communes, making it a walking option in its own right for anyone who wants to include a route through several places in their plans.
Ponds and waterside activities
Around the Plan d'eau du Verger, there is a children's playground, a small sports field and a designated picnic area. The pond covers four hectares and is home to carp, tench, roach and pike. The features of this body of water therefore include facilities for play, exercise and breaks, as well as its size and fish species.
La Prise d'eau is Tronget's second municipal pond. Fishing from the bank is permitted there with either an annual or a daily permit. If you want to fish, you can choose between these two permit options. The ponds thus offer different focuses: at the Plan d'eau du Verger, the facilities and fish species found there are among the features to consider, while La Prise d'eau offers permitted shore fishing. The daily permit is an option for a day of fishing.
Bicycle rides and other activities
Evasion dans le Bocage offers rides on electric bicycles and bicycles without electric assistance along the country lanes of the Bourbonnais-Bocage. Suggested routes are available on request. Choosing between the two types of bicycle gives you a practical planning option for a ride along these lanes. Evasion dans le Bocage also offers quad bike hire. Bicycle rides and quad bike hire are therefore different ways to include outdoor activities in your stay.
