Discover Naujan-Et-Postiac through the Église Saint-Pierre, winegrowing and walking routes. These themes offer different starting points for planning a trip: church architecture, insights into the work of a winery, and exploring vineyards, forests and small hamlets on foot. The walking options also differ in the information that can help with planning.

The Église Saint-Pierre and its architectural history

The Église Saint-Pierre is a parish church of Romanesque origin, dedicated to Saint Peter. It was altered in the 16th century, when it was given a flat-ended choir and two open chapels. The flat end describes the shape of the choir; the open chapels are additional distinctive architectural features. The entire church was listed as a French historic monument by decree on 13 February 2001. For architecture enthusiasts, this offers several points of reference across time: its Romanesque origins, its alteration in the 16th century and the protected status of the entire building.

Walking routes with different profiles

The easy À l'Ouest de Naujan et Postiac walking route is an 8.20-kilometre circuit with an average duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. It passes through or between forests, vineyards and viewpoints, and connects to the Roger Lapébie cycle path. The cycle path itself stretches for just under 57 kilometres between Latresne and Sauveterre-de-Guyenne. These distances refer to different routes: 8.20 kilometres and the average duration apply to the walking circuit, while just under 57 kilometres applies to the cycle path.

Another walking option is the Boucle Naujan et Postiac par Saint-Aubin-de-Branne. It passes through Naujan-Et-Postiac and Saint-Aubin-de-Branne. The gently rolling landscape includes vineyards, meadows, horse farms, small hamlets and a few châteaux. Here, the route through the two named villages and the landscape features provide orientation. The stated distance and average duration apply only to À l'Ouest de Naujan et Postiac; for the Boucle, its route through both villages and the landscape provide orientation.

Winegrowing and refreshments at Domaine d’Arpaillan

Domaine d’Arpaillan is a winery in Naujan-Et-Postiac, in the heart of Entre-deux-Mers, and has been family-owned for five generations. Visitors are welcomed at the estate to learn about winegrowing, gain insights into the work and taste the wine. The visit therefore includes both an introduction to winegrowing and wine tastings.

Les Planches d’Arpaillan, a wine bar serving charcuterie and cheese boards, is located at the same winery. The winery and wine bar have different focuses: the Domaine is centred on winegrowing, the work involved and tastings, while Les Planches offers food boards. The wine bar is open seasonally; check whether it will be open on your travel dates before visiting.
