The approximately 1 km-long Kärleksstigen is located in the centre of Kronoby. The nature trail starts at the Torgare vicarage, Torgarevägen 22, 68500 Kronoby, and ends at the Motionstrappan, Söderpårasvägen 123, 68500 Kronoby. Signs along the trail tell children about animals and nature and include small activities. The length and endpoints give the trail a clear outline; the signs provide a specific focus on nature and learning.

A nature trail with historical connections

The Torgare vicarage has been the cultural centre of Kronoby for centuries. Kärleksstigen is also of historical significance to the cultural environment of the vicarage. This means the nature trail can be understood not only in terms of its route, but also in relation to this place.

Skalasträsket and birdwatching

Lake Skalasträsket lies in the middle of the village, yet remains entirely in a natural state. Swans and black-necked grebes have been observed nesting at the lake. The village setting and natural condition exist side by side here; observations of these two bird species add a specific nature theme to the landscape.

More routes and activities

Several circuits of the Motionstrappan can be combined with Kärleksstigen. As an exercise staircase, it adds another activity to the nature trail. Another named route is Gustavsrundan, which starts at the car park at Söderpårasvägen 109, 68500 Kronoby. The two routes can therefore be distinguished by their starting points, without assuming that they share a route.

Sports hall and vehicle collections

Kronoby idrottshall has a 782 m² hall that can be divided into three sections, as well as an eight-metre-high climbing wall. The hall can be used for volleyball, floorball, korfball, badminton, tennis, gymnastics, football and handball. In addition to the nature trail, these different sports offer several options to consider when planning a trip.

The Saab Museum in Kronoby displays hundreds of Saab cars. The Bjarne Holmlund Tractor Museum houses more than 40 tractors restored by Holmlund himself. The collections differ both in the types of vehicles they feature and in the tractor museum's particular emphasis on restoration.

Local history and traditions nearby

Near Kronoby, Tolvmansgården is an 18th-century farm with an unusual architectural style. It serves as the local history museum for the Kronoby district. Every year, on the first Saturday in August, it hosts the Gammaldags Market, featuring local vendors. Köttsoppa, a meat soup, is considered the main attraction.

On Jouxholmen, Cronoholmens Skeppsvarv has a visitor area with an exhibition building. It describes the area's history and the work of the shipwrights who worked for the Crown in Kronoby and Karlskrona. The site thus connects visitors with local shipbuilding history.

The old cemetery remains on the grounds of the former Korpholmen Hospital. In 2006–2007, a church modelled on the old church and a bell tower were built there. An exhibition hut contains maps and a miniature model of the site. These places and buildings illustrate different historical connections: the cemetery of the former hospital, the reconstruction of the church and bell tower, and the depiction of the site through maps and a model.
