Milasín brings together local history, viewpoints, and marked routes with specific places to visit. A bell tower stands in the village square; above the village, a marble cross offers sweeping views across the Bystřicko region. One marked cycling route crosses the municipal area, while another route climbs uphill on a connecting road towards Milasín. Excursions to Mitrov Castle ruins are also possible from here, and the Loučka Valley is another named destination. This gives you a choice of local history, landscape views, cycling, and excursions when planning your trip.

Village History and Tradition

The bell tower stands in the village square next to the fire station; it was built in 1898. Milasín is first mentioned in 1348 in connection with the Bystřice nad Pernštejnem estate. These are two distinct historical reference points: the earlier mention concerns the village, while the later date marks the construction of the bell tower. A local legend links the name Milasín to a nobleman's lost son. Alongside the history of the village and its buildings, it offers a separate, story-based perspective on the name.

Crosses with Different Views

The marble cross, dating from 1920, stands above Milasín. From there, views extend across the whole of Bystřicko and also over Novoměstsko as far as Křižanov. On the road to Rožná, an iron cross dating from 1906 stands about 100 metres beyond the village. From there, you can look out over the nearby uranium mining complex. The two locations offer different perspectives: the marble cross looks out over named landscape areas, while the iron cross faces the nearby mining complex. Check the current condition of the crosses locally before your visit.

Cycling Route and Uphill Route

Marked cycling route 5130 runs from Dlouhé through Milasín to Nedvědice, crossing the municipal area from north to south. The “Po stopách uranu na Bystřicku” route offers a different perspective: it follows a connecting road uphill towards Milasín. Along the way, views open up over the Rožná I mine and the surrounding landscape. The two routes answer different questions for planning: route 5130 specifies the sequence of villages and direction, while the uranium route describes the climb and the landscape views. Route conditions may vary; check them before making plans.

Excursions from Milasín

Excursions to Mitrov Castle ruins are possible from Milasín; other trips can take you to the Loučka Valley. One destination is castle ruins, the other a valley—giving you a choice of different themes for your outings. You can choose based on whether you prefer a specific historic structure or a valley as your destination. These excursions complement the local sights and routes with more ways to shape your stay.
