Albrechtice U Mostu can be explored through a range of themes: the Lom Československé armády National Natural Monument, local and architectural history, and a challenging hiking route in the wider Horní Jiřetín–Jezeří area. These highlights lead to different travel choices. The protected area, historic buildings, and a 17-kilometre hike offer distinct ways to shape a stay. When choosing accommodation, you can first consider whether nature, cultural history, or a longer hike should be the main focus.

Natural Monument and Landscape

The Lom Československé armády National Natural Monument has been in force since 4 October 2025. It protects populations of Tawny Pipit (Anthus campestris) and Northern Wheatear (Oenanthe oenanthe). The protected features also include natural ecosystems associated with the excavation pit of the former Československé armády brown coal open-cast mine. The monument also extends into the cadastral area of Albrechtice U Mostu. The natural monument also extends into the cadastral area of Albrechtice U Mostu; the two bird populations and the natural ecosystems associated with the excavation pit of the former Československé armády brown coal open-cast mine are protected.

Castle Complex and Hraběcí Chapel

The historic complex of Jezeří Castle and its arboretum includes the castle, manor house, gatehouse, coach house, an agricultural building, a watchtower, a former bastion, and the arboretum. The Hraběcí Chapel offers a different architectural highlight: it is Baroque and was built after 1753. The chapel stands in a forest on the eastern side of Jánský vrch, southwest of Jezeří Castle. Its period and location help to identify it. An older condition report describes it as badly neglected; the vault and roof were missing, and vegetation had invaded the building. As its condition may have changed, check before visiting.

Local History and Technical Remains

Albrechtice U Mostu was founded at the end of the 13th century. The history of the village also includes the Romanesque Church of All Saints, which was later demolished. The Albrechtická tunnel adds a much more recent phase of technical construction to the historical themes: it was excavated by hand from December 1978 to May 1979. The founding of the village, the church building, and the tunnel excavation mark different aspects of its history.

Challenging Hike in the Wider Area

The challenging “Through the Beech Kingdom to Jezeří” hiking route is 17 kilometres long in total. It runs from Horní Jiřetín via Mariánské údolí, Mikulovice, Dřevařský rybník, Josefiina skála, and Jezeří Castle to the Albrechtická štola signpost, then back to Horní Jiřetín. Both the start and finish are in Horní Jiřetín; the route is a standalone hiking option in the wider Horní Jiřetín–Jezeří area. Plan it as a challenging, longer hike, not as a short addition to the local and architectural history attractions. As trail conditions may change, it is advisable to check the route’s current conditions before setting out.
