Všechovice offers several different ways to explore during a stay: a blue-marked hiking trail through the cadastral area, cycling routes through the village and its surroundings, and archaeological and architectural heritage. The themes range from Neolithic settlement traces to the Neoclassical Chapel of St. Anne, built in 1818. You can explore the village according to your interests—as a hiking destination, by bike, or through the specific finds and buildings that bring its history to life.

Where Všechovice Is Located

Všechovice lies at the transition between the Horno-svratecká Highlands and the Boskovická Furrow. Both names provide a geographical context for the village’s location. An information board with a map and basic details about Všechovice and the Čebínka microregion stands in the village centre. If you would first like to get your bearings, the board provides information at these two levels: the village itself and the microregion.

A Hiking Trail with a Named Destination

A blue-marked hiking trail runs through the cadastral area of Všechovice from Stanoviska to the partisan memorial in the woods near Skalička. The two endpoints make the route easy to identify; the blue markings are the feature to look for. Nevertheless, check the trail signage on site before relying on the markings. If you appreciate having a clearly named destination when hiking, you can follow the route’s connection between Stanoviska and the memorial.

Cycling Routes Between the Village and a Long-Distance Connection

Several cycling routes run through Všechovice and the surrounding area; conditions can change seasonally. A marked cycle route through Všechovice connects in Tišnov to International Route No. 1 between Prague, Brno and Vienna. For planning purposes, these represent two different scales: local routes through the village and its surroundings, and a regional connection that joins the international route in Tišnov. Take seasonally changing conditions into account when planning your ride.

Archaeological Traces and Historic Buildings

The oldest finds in Všechovice date from the Neolithic period (4800 BC). Settlement traces of the Linear Pottery culture have been identified at the Pod Vinohradem site. The settlement traces point to a specific culture, while the dating of the oldest finds establishes the early historical timeframe for Všechovice.

Všechovice is also home to the Chapel of St. Anne, a Neoclassical chapel dating from 1818. It was consecrated on 18 October 1818. Another architectural landmark is the ruin of Trmačov Fortress, less than a kilometre south of Všechovice. A deep moat and the remains of a round tower have survived; the site is now a state-protected cultural monument. The chapel is notable for its Neoclassical design and consecration year, while the fortress is distinguished by the surviving parts of its fortifications. Here you can encounter two different forms of architectural heritage.
