Příbram Na Moravě brings together a wooded setting, paths through the countryside and recurring village festivals. When choosing when to travel, it may be important whether you would rather spend time outdoors or experience a particular festival. The routes also differ: one walking path follows the valley of the Příbramský potok, while the Stezka permoníků can be explored on foot or by bicycle.

Wooded surroundings and paths

The municipality of Příbram Na Moravě covers about 1,200 hectares. Fields and meadows shape the landscape, but forests are its most prominent feature. A walking path runs through the valley of the Příbramský potok, passing ponds and a holiday-home settlement. The route thus connects the valley and its bodies of water with a glimpse of the buildings along the way.

The Stezka permoníků offers another way to explore the surroundings: it can be used on foot or by bicycle and runs through hilly terrain. Far-reaching views and shady forests are among its described features. When choosing a route, you can therefore choose between the valley path and a route specifically intended for cycling as well.

On the way from Příbramský mlýn towards Příbram, a small waterfall may appear when there is enough water. The Kuchyňka pond is considered well maintained and suitable for a summer refreshment; conditions may vary by season. Both features give the paths a seasonal aspect, though the waterfall may not be visible at all times.

Routes and practical information

The Příbramské krásy route leads to Příbramský mlýn, about 1.6 kilometres from the starting point. Its original residents still live there. Visitors are asked to be considerate and to move on afterwards. This request is part of planning the walk: a visit to the mill does not involve a longer stay on the premises.

A route described as a shorter Příbramské krásy route is 8.5 kilometres long and runs from the RIC to Příbram; a bus is provided for the return journey. Check current route conditions and the bus connection before setting out, as both may change. Local buses and trains are integrated into the South Moravian Region Integrated Transport System. Here too, it is worth checking the timetable for your travel date.

Village festivals throughout the year

Several recurring events offer different reasons to visit. Pálení čarodějnic takes place every year on 30 April at the football pitch; the exact programme may vary. Den dětí is also celebrated there, on the Saturday closest to 1 June. The programme for this festival may also vary from year to year.

Neckyáda takes place on the local pond in June. Unusual watercraft compete in contests for speed and creativity. The month is specified, but the exact date and programme may vary. The traditional Příbramská pouť takes place around 5 May and is associated with Saint Florian. The Chapel of sv. Floriána a Panny Marie contains sculptures and Stations of the Cross.

Příbramské hody takes place every year on a Sunday in September as an all-day programme. It includes a procession of people in traditional dress through the village, accompanied by a band and a horse-drawn carriage. In early August, the recurring football tournament Memoriál Ladislava Pospíšila features the Příbram team and three other teams from nearby municipalities. At Příbramské vinobraní, visitors can sample wine around the turn of September and October; this does not imply that wine is produced locally.

The dates span spring through autumn and follow different rules: some fall on a fixed day, others within a period or on a changeable date. If a particular festival is a deciding factor in your trip, check the specific date and programme for the year you plan to visit. When looking for a holiday rental, you can choose your travel dates based on whether you want to focus on paths and countryside or on an event.
