Třebařov can be explored through its architectural history, a former monastery and the surrounding landscape. The Church of the Holy Trinity and the ruins of Koruna Panny Marie represent different historical chapters; the Nohavice wetland and rolling forests add other themes to a stay. Before looking for a holiday rental, you can consider whether you are most interested in cultural history, nature or cycling in the surrounding area.

Church and monastery: several layers of history

The Church of the Holy Trinity is in the upper part of Třebařov. In the lower part, the ruins of the old Koruna Panny Marie monastery rise above the surrounding landscape. This location makes it easy to orient yourself between two notable historic sites, without implying any particular route between them.

A church was built in Třebařov in 1720. After being rebuilt in 1769, it was dedicated to the Holy Trinity. The sacristy also preserves an earlier building phase: it is a chapel dating from 1736, originating from the original church.

Boreš z Rýzmburka founded the Augustinian monastery of Maria Kron in Třebařov in 1267, also known as Koruna Panny Marie. The ruins preserve monumental walls from a former early Gothic single-nave church, fragments of Gothic window tracery and a wooden bell tower. Visitor information current as of January 2021 states that the grounds are freely accessible and that an information board provides basic information about the monastery. Check locally before your trip whether a visit is possible.

Monuments and details around the village

Other, very different works are part of the local architectural and commemorative heritage. The sculpture group Nejsvětější Trojice dates from 1820. It stands on a tall, richly decorated pedestal with reliefs of saints. The First World War memorial was designed by architect O. Czepa and is a rare example of sophisticated German memorial art in the region.

A stone wayside shrine to the south provides another historical landmark. Its upper section bears a relief of a cross and a ladder, along with what is probably mining equipment. According to the inscription, Jakob Winkler of Malá Strana had the monument erected in Třebařov on 17 August 1673. The attribution is therefore based on the inscription; the tool motif has not been identified with certainty.

Wetland, river and wooded surroundings

The Nohavice biocentre is a functioning wetland complex comprising the Nohavice and Křtěný ponds, with near-natural conditions. It provides a natural refuge for waterbirds, including herons, swans and coots.

The Moravská Sázava flows through the northern part of the municipality, outside the built-up areas. The area around Třebařov is hilly and wooded, making it suitable for recreation and mushroom picking. As conditions for outdoor activities can vary by season, the time of year is a useful factor in planning.

Cycling and practical orientation

The surrounding area is criss-crossed by cycle routes. The signposted cycle route 4221 runs through the municipality and connects Koruna Monastery, Tatenice Chateau, the Lanškroun ponds and the watershed between the Elbe and Danube. Check the current route signage before setting out.

Catholic worshippers regularly gather for services at the Church of the Holy Trinity, led by the local parish priest, Father Karel Macků. If attending a service is important to your visit, check the schedule beforehand. For rail travel, ČD line No. 270 is relevant: it runs from Česká Třebová via Zábřeh na Moravě, Olomouc and Přerov. Krasíkov is listed as a nearby stop; check the timetable for a specific journey.

If these highlights suit your stay, they can help you decide whether Třebařov is the right destination. When searching for a holiday rental, the architectural history, wetland and cycle routes can help you determine the kind of stay you want.
