Premilov combines a signposted cycling route with hiking trails, an elm whose crown is especially visible at certain times of year, and a partisan memorial with a precisely dated history. The only usable access road leads from the Tesla recreation centre. Along the way, use route numbers, colour markings and junctions to find your bearings; the season and historical context are important for nature and history. These details help you plan your arrival, route choice and interests separately.

Arrival and trails

The only usable access road to Přemilov leads from the Tesla recreation centre. The signposted cycling route 4115 and the blue hiking trail both follow this road. In Přemilov, cycling route 4115 continues as far as the junction with the blue hiking trail. The access road is therefore initially a shared section, while the route number and colour distinguish the types of trail.

From the junction, the blue hiking trail continues towards Ústupky and Seč as far as the junction with the yellow hiking trail. The yellow trail crosses a footbridge and passes the inn and Na Pilce accommodation on its way to Klokočov. When planning your hike, it is important to note where the markings change: blue marks the section towards Ústupky and Seč, while yellow marks the route across the bridge and past Na Pilce to Klokočov. Check the local trail markings before setting off.

There are different markers to help you choose between cycling and hiking: the number 4115 for the cycling route and the colours blue and yellow for the successive hiking trails. This distinction is practical because the routes initially share the same access road, then continue along different paths at the junctions.

Elm and partisan memorial

The Jilm habrolistý elm in Přemilov is one of the largest elms in the Železné hory area. Its regular-shaped crown is best seen in early spring. If this tree’s form is the main focus of your visit, you can plan your trip around its seasonal visibility. Nature observation therefore differs from route planning: trail numbers, colours and junctions matter for the trails, while the season matters for the elm.

At the edge of the forest between Prosíčka and Přemilov, the partisan memorial commemorates the retreat battles of 22 December 1944. It consists of loosely assembled stones and an attached copper commemorative plaque. The precise date foregrounds a specific historical event; the stones and copper plaque define the memorial’s design. For a cultural and historical perspective, the event being commemorated and the form of the memorial are distinct, clearly identifiable points of reference.

The elm and the memorial offer different seasonal and historical points of focus: early spring is the best time to see the crown, while the memorial is associated with 22 December 1944. The questions to consider when planning your trip therefore differ too: for the elm, it is the season; for the memorial, it is the event being commemorated.

Highlights of your stay

If you are looking for a holiday apartment, you can choose the focus of your trip according to your interests: cycling and hiking trails, the elm’s seasonal crown or the historical significance of the memorial. The different points of reference can help you plan your trip around the route, nature observation or history.
