Valley and Landscape
A valley shapes the character of Bukovina U Čisté. In its upper section, the valley settlement borders Studenec; to the east, the valley continues towards the municipality of Dolní Kalná. The surrounding landscape is picturesque and comparatively little affected by human intervention. From the highest parts of the village, views extend to the Krkonoše Mountains. For travellers who appreciate rural scenery and a distinctive settlement pattern, the valley and the views from higher ground offer two different points of interest.
The Hekovy lime trees are three large-leaved lime trees with trunk circumferences of 445, 460 and 490 cm. These measurements may change slightly over time. The group of trees adds a specific natural feature with three different circumference measurements to the landscape.
Log Cabins and Village Character
A number of traditional log cabins have been preserved in Bukovina U Čisté. Two areas south of the stream are particularly notable, where log cabins and farm buildings fit picturesquely into the terrain, in a way that is now rarely undisturbed. This integration is typical of a foothill settlement. Its character is shaped not only by individual buildings, but also by the way different structures interact with the terrain. For travellers interested in rural architecture, this relationship offers a distinctive perspective on the settlement pattern.
One listed building adds to this architectural impression: Cottage No. 20 is a protected monument.
Historical Landmarks
The first written mention of Bukovina U Čisté dates back to 1386. The village is also home to a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dating from 1776. The two dates mark different historical points of reference: an early written mention on the one hand, and a specifically dated religious monument on the other. Almost four centuries lie between them. Thus, early written records and a later monument stand side by side, although the dates do not refer to the same event.
Culture, Events and Sports
The cultural centre in Bukovina U Čisté hosts fire brigade and children's balls, concerts, discussion events, dances and wedding receptions. Its uses range from social celebrations to cultural and musical occasions. The natural recreation area, established in 1980, was used for social and cultural events such as concerts, children's days and reunions of former residents.
The Přírodní areál includes a hard-surface court used for tennis, volleyball and fistball tournaments of local importance. The site has a capacity of 1,000 people and can be rented. If you are considering it for your own event, check the current rental terms in advance. This helps distinguish the court's sporting uses from the natural recreation area's former event functions and the wide range of occasions held at the cultural centre.
