Radl offers a variety of discoveries: a nature reserve, two themed trails, and cultural monuments at the village square and in Milíře. Nature, trail length and local history provide different ways to shape a stay around your own interests.

Nature Reserve and Habitats

The Přírodní památka Rádlo nature reserve covers an area of 3.5 hectares within the built-up area of the municipality of Rádlo. Protected habitats include sedge mires and adjoining waterlogged stands of alder and birch. The area protects rare and endangered plant and animal species. This natural area is therefore defined by specific habitats and its conservation purpose. Its relatively modest area of 3.5 hectares also gives a clear sense of the scale of this focus in Radl.

Comparing the Experience Trail and Nature Trail

Eldorádlo is an approximately seven-kilometre experience trail for pedestrians and cyclists. It can be started at any location in Rádlo and has twelve themed rest and stop points. The approximate total length and the stations describe two different aspects of the experience: the scale of the route and its themed stopping points. Anyone wishing to include a longer route in their travel plans will find a clear guide here to its length and the ways it can be travelled.

Eldorádlo also includes the Stezka Veverky Berty children's route. Children can solve playful tasks and complete a crossword puzzle there. The route's appeal to children is reflected in these specific activities, not just in its name. When choosing how to explore the experience trail, visitors can therefore distinguish between the route in general and the activities specifically designed for children.

The Naučná stezka Rádlo nature trail is on a different scale: it is approximately 500 metres long, runs through the centre of the municipality and has seven stations covering botany, ecology and zoology. It is significantly shorter than the approximately seven-kilometre Eldorádlo. The trails also differ in their themes: Eldorádlo offers twelve themed rest and stop points, while the nature trail dedicates its seven stations to three specifically named natural science subjects. The approximate lengths make it possible to compare the trails by scale and content.

Village Square and Ecclesiastical Heritage

The Nejsvětější Trojice Church stands at the village square in Rádlo and is a landmark of the square. The present-day Neo-Baroque church was built in 1931 to a design by Jablonec architect Karel Rössler and extended in 1948. Next to the church is the Getsemanská zahrada, a protected ensemble of sandstone sculptures. The church and sculpture ensemble are distinct historical features of the same square: the church has an architectural history marked by two dates, while the Getsemanská zahrada is defined by its sandstone sculptures.

Replicas of these sculptures are also part of the history of the village square. They were ceremonially unveiled beside the church at the end of 2014. As replicas, they should be distinguished from the sculptures in the protected ensemble; their own historical reference is their unveiling at the end of 2014. Together with the church's architectural history, this provides a clear timeframe for the cultural monuments named at the village square.

The Chapel in Milíře

In the settlement of Milíře, the Panny Marie Bolestné Chapel, also known as Sedmibolestné, is the oldest surviving monument in this district of Rádlo. The fully restored, protected sandstone chapel stands at a crossroads of walking trails near the Císařský kámen lookout tower. It is a popular stop for visitors from the surrounding area. This adds another named monument to the buildings at the village square; its description identifies its location in the district of Milíře, its protected status and its position at a trail crossroads.
