Konětopy combines a historic village layout that is still visible today with Jezero Konětopy, between Konětopy and Dřísy. At the village center, the junction of important routes, the village green, farmsteads and a pond shape the scene; by the lake, the focus is on summer relaxation and activities. A cycling route also runs through the village from north to south. This makes it possible to choose different areas of focus for a stay, from village structure and landscape to outdoor activity.

The Village Center and Its History

The junction of important routes to Čečelice, Sudovo Hlavno and Dřísy is still visible in Konětopy’s layout. A central village green with farmsteads and a pond developed at this junction. The village can therefore also be viewed through the arrangement of its center, not only through individual leisure activities.

The hill Dlouhý běh offers a second point of reference in the landscape. Konětopy lies at the foot of its wooded southwestern slope. The historic structure around the crossroads and the location on the wooded slope are two different aspects of the village’s character: one points to the development of the village center, the other to its landscape.

Jezero Konětopy: Relaxation and Activities by the Water

The lakes of Jezero Konětopy lie between Konětopy and Dřísy. The area offers a pleasant setting for summer relaxation. Along one side, it borders a forest for approximately 950 meters. The forest edge is therefore also part of the landscape described here; the length given is approximate.

Swimming and sunbathing are available at Jezero Konětopy. These activities are seasonal; access conditions and services may change. So check the current conditions before visiting. Fishing is also possible at both lakes for much of the year. This distinction is useful when planning: lakeside relaxation is expressly associated with summer, while fishing is possible for a larger part of the year. Seasonal conditions and fishing permits may also change; check the applicable conditions before fishing.

An operator update dated June 29, 2025, reported that a paddleboard rental service next to the ticket office at Jezero Konětopy was open. If planning a visit today, check current availability.

Cycling Through Konětopy

Cycling Route No. 8162 runs north–south along existing roads through Hostín, Košátky, Konětopy, Dřísy and Lhota. The route number and the sequence of places listed provide a specific reference for finding your way along the route. Unlike the activities at Jezero, the route is primarily defined by its north–south course through several places. Check current route conditions before setting out.
