In the southern part of the extensive village of Drsník lies the protected Šalanda estate, a small former roadside inn. A green-marked hiking trail also passes through the village. When looking for a holiday apartment, it helps to decide early what to focus on: would you like to devote your stay mainly to village history, hiking or cycling?

Šalanda and Local History

The protected estate comprises residential building No. 15 with an annex for serving drinks, a barn, a perimeter wall with a gate, and the enclosed plots of the site. The annex makes the building’s former function as an inn tangible; the wall, gate and plots are also part of the protected site, along with the buildings. Šalanda can therefore be understood as an architectural ensemble, rather than simply as a single residential building.

Drsník was first mentioned in writing in 1603. In 2009, the chapel in Drsník was renovated, including its roof, the metal cladding of the dome and cross, the facade, and the interior plaster. The two dates mark different periods in the village’s history: an early written mention of the village and a later renovation.

Hiking through Drsník

The green-marked hiking trail runs from Radětice through Drsník and Pečičky to Ostrá. There, it turns south and continues via Cetyně to Kozárovice. The change of direction at Ostrá is an important point for orientation when planning. Check the current trail markings on site if you plan to follow this route on your hike.

Cycling and Other Destinations

The signposted cycle route 302 passes through the municipality of Pečice via Luh and Pečičky, continuing through Smolotely to Solenice. Near Drsník, cycle route 302C runs in the direction of Příbram–Pečice–Zduchovice; it is considered a pleasant circular route with views of the Brdy hills. The routes differ in character: route 302 passes through a series of named places in the municipality, while route 302C is defined by its circular route and views of the Brdy hills.

The geographical scope also helps with planning: the hiking trail passes through Drsník, cycle route 302 runs within the municipality of Pečice, and cycle route 302C runs in the vicinity of the village. The pilgrimage Church of St John the Baptist and views of the Podbrdsko landscape are also mentioned near Drsník.
