A stay in Přišimasy can be planned around two different themes: the Klepec rock formation and the history of the village. Events add to these discoveries, but are tied to specific editions and dates.

Klepec and its rocky landscape

Klepec lies within the cadastral area of Přišimasy. It is a protected rock formation and small rock city made up of unusual remnants of weathered Říčany granite. The rock belongs to the Central Bohemian Pluton. Klepec has been designated a protected natural monument since 1977. Its geological origins and protected status offer two different perspectives: the granite remnants shape the rock formation, while the designation establishes its status as a natural monument.

The Klepec educational trail is about 1 km long and has two stops with information boards. It starts in Přišimasy-Skřivany. The yellow-marked trail is suitable for strollers; wheelchair users can use it with assistance. If you need assistance, check before your visit whether the specific conditions meet your needs.

Čápova skála has a different route description: the rock is at the place known as “Na bačovně,” to the right of the red-marked Hradešín–Úvaly hiking trail. Before setting out, check the route of the markings on site. This makes it easy to distinguish the yellow markings of the Klepec educational trail from the red markings of the Hradešín–Úvaly hiking trail.

Settlement pattern and building history

The settlement pattern also tells the story of Přišimasy’s development. The village preserves a structure that grew out of three originally independent settlements. At the same time, Přišimasy was laid out as a regular circular village settlement, with a large circular village square and a pond. Its origins in several settlements and its regular layout shed light on different aspects: the origins of the settlement structure and the shape of the village plan.

The Church of St Peter and Paul is a single-nave building. Its tower is as wide as the west façade, and the presbytery has a three-sided end. The church’s Romanesque core dates from the mid-13th century. A rectangular Baroque mortuary chapel dates from the 19th century. These architectural details offer several points of reference in terms of period and style, without reducing the history of the village to a single building.

Events and travel planning

The annual Earth Day celebrations take place at the Klepec natural monument; their return there was also confirmed for 2026. The recurring family race “O pohár Klepce” takes place in Přišimasy at the Slouha erratic boulder. For its 12th edition, competitions for children and adults, as well as a family relay, were scheduled for Saturday, 20 June 2026. This date has now passed.

The 2026 edition of Staročeské máje announced for Přišimasy was planned as a traditional festival featuring folk customs, a procession of young men and women in costume, music and evening entertainment.

When choosing a holiday apartment, you can first consider which focus you want for your stay: the geology around Klepec, the history of the settlement and its buildings, or a specific event day.
