The paths in Trpanj vary in length and focus: the Olive Oil Trail passes through centuries-old olive groves and along dry-stone walls, while Paškal's Path connects two churches with an archaeological site. There is also a 13-kilometre hiking and cycling route, a two-kilometre coastal walk and a 15-kilometre road to the bays of Divna and Duba. For planning, it helps to keep the details distinct: they describe different routes and ways of getting around. The ferry journey can also be considered as a separate planning step.

Olive groves, dry-stone walls and sea views

The olive oil trails of Trpanj stretch for six kilometres from Camp Vrilo to Velika Prapratna. Centuries-old olive groves and dry-stone walls characterise the route. Trail signs, benches and viewpoints are also part of the route; at the viewpoints, stone, olive trees and the sea come together. This means the route can be understood not only by its length, but also by its landscape features. Signage and surface conditions may change, so check them before setting out.

Paškal's Path and its stops

Paškal's Path starts at the Church of Our Lady of Mercy. Along the way, it passes an archaeological site identified as an Illyrian cemetery, then continues to the Church of St. Paškal. The two churches and the archaeological site give the route its own sequence of stops. Along the way, there are views of the Neretva Channel, as well as vineyards, olive trees and Gornja Vrućica. This route therefore focuses not only on the landscape, but also on churches and an archaeological site. Trail conditions and access may vary; check conditions in advance.

A longer route for walking and cycling

The Duba–Lovište route covers 13 kilometres and is described as suitable for hiking and cycling. It passes through natural landscapes, offers views of Hvar and runs above Jezero, a pebble-and-sand beach. Fresh water flows into the sea there. The route length and the landscape features described can help you decide whether this longer route fits into your travel plans. Before setting out, check trail conditions and any fire restrictions in force.

Coastal walk and road to the bays

Trpanj has a two-kilometre coastal walk. This is distinct from the 15-kilometre road to the bays of Divna and Duba. The road passes vineyards, olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation; a gorge lies above Divna Beach. The two distances therefore refer to different routes: a coastal walk and a road to the bays. If you plan to visit Divna or Duba, check local seasonal conditions and access.

Ferry travel

Jadrolinija Line 633 connects the port of Ploče with Trpanj; the crossing takes one hour. From Pelješac, you can continue towards Dubrovnik, Mljet or Korčula. Timetables and fares may change, so it is worth checking them before travelling. This keeps the journey and choice of routes as two separate planning questions: for the ferry, the right connection matters; for your stay, consider your preferred route length and focus—olive groves, churches, the coast or views of Hvar.
