Vidalici is a small, quiet coastal settlement with apartments, located around 4 km from Novalja. Small beaches are part of its character; Vidalici Beach stretches along the entire length of the settlement. From Vidalici, views extend across the whole of Pag Bay. Zrće Beach and the Pag Triangle are also nearby. The coast is the defining feature; a cycling route and promenade add other ways to explore the area. The four places Vidalici, Kustići, Zubovići and Metajna are collectively known as Barbati; when searching for a holiday apartment, Vidalici remains the specific location. When choosing where to stay, you can consider whether the coastal setting is your main priority or whether routes and places to visit are also important to you.
Beach and Coastal Character
Vidalici Beach is mostly pebbly, with some rocky sections. It is considered suitable for a quiet family holiday. There is no natural shade, so bear this in mind if you plan to spend a long time by the water. Beriknica Beach is accessible only on foot or by boat. Access conditions may change; check the current situation before visiting. This means different aspects come to the fore when planning for the beaches: the surface and shade at Vidalici, and access at Beriknica.
Cycling Route and Promenade
The Caska–Metajna cycling route passes through Vidalici and is 12 km (11.7 km) long. It runs mostly at an elevation of 20 to 30 m above sea level and offers views of Pag Bay. The promenade along Barbat runs from Vidalici to Metajna. This offers different ways to get around: a cycling route with a stated length, elevation and views, as well as a promenade connecting two places. When planning your day, you can decide whether a cycling trip or a walk better suits your interests.
The Pag Triangle and Surrounding Area
The Pag Triangle measures 32 Ă— 32 Ă— 22 m and is located near Vidalici. The route there from Vidalici requires careful walking over rocky ground; there is no well-worn path. Conditions along the route may change, so check the current situation before visiting. Near Metajna, a path to the Pag Triangle begins, following dry-stone walls and considered the fastest route to an unusual footprint in the rocky ground. Stogaj is known to climbing enthusiasts; check access and equipment locally.
Seasonal Experiences in Metajna
At the seasonal fishermen’s evenings in Metajna, freshly prepared fish, wine and singing go together. If you would like to include an evening like this in your travel plans, check the event dates in advance. These evenings offer a different experience from the beach, cycling route and walking paths: the focus is on sharing a meal and singing.
