St Anns offers different ways to visit, with its wine production, farm tours and a mini Highland experience. The types of activities and their seasonal conditions vary.

Wine Production on the Niagara Escarpment

Domaine Queylus is located on the Niagara Escarpment in Ontario’s renowned Niagara Peninsula wine region. The winery produces high-quality wines from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Merlot; these are considered cool-climate wines. Its location and grape varieties give wine enthusiasts concrete ways to understand the winery both regionally and through its varietals.

In its tasting room, Domaine Queylus offers seated wine tastings, wines by the glass or bottle, and light food. Check the opening hours and whether a reservation is required before your visit. In summer, weather permitting, wines by the glass with food pairings are also available on the scenic terrace. Check the current service conditions for this seasonal offering as well.

Farm Tours and Plant Knowledge

Mingle Hill Farm’s guided tours take visitors through herb gardens, pollinator areas and peaceful paths through the landscape. The focus is on medicinal plants and sustainable growing practices. The tour connects specific garden areas with the topic of cultivation. Tours are seasonal, so check whether one is available on your planned travel date.

Mingle Hill Farm grows more than 100 plants and handcrafts them on the farm into skin care products, tea blends, spice blends and hot sauces. In addition to the garden areas, the focus is also on processing and product types. The range includes personal care products and food, from skin care to tea, spices and sauces.

Mini Highland Experience

Hinterland Estate’s private Mini Highland Experience lasts 1.5 hours. Guests meet miniature Highland cattle, brush and feed them, and can take photos. The experience is currently closed for the season. Unlike a wine tasting or a walk through farm areas, this experience centers on direct encounters with animals.

Different Ways to Enjoy Your Visit

To help choose, you can start by deciding on the type of visit: a seated wine tasting, a guided tour of garden and landscape areas, or a private animal encounter. The food and drink offerings also differ: Domaine Queylus serves light food alongside wine tastings; Mingle Hill Farm processes plants into products including tea blends, spices and hot sauces. These offer different ways to explore wine and agriculture.

When planning your visit, keep the respective conditions in mind: Mingle Hill tours are seasonal, so check whether one is available for your travel dates; the Mini Highland Experience is currently closed for the season. For Domaine Queylus, check the opening hours and whether reservations are required. The terrace option is available in summer, weather permitting.
