Meadows along the mountain trail offer views of Priseltsi and the Black Sea coast near Obzor; the historical traces date back to Late Antiquity. The landscape and cultural history thus stand side by side as two distinct focal points for a trip.

Landscape between mountains and coast

Priseltsi lies on the northern edge of the mountains in Nessebar Municipality, in a transition zone between the eastern Stara Planina and the Black Sea coast. The wider area has potential for mountain and ecotourism. Priseltsi is also part of the Kamchiyska Mountain bird protection zone (BG0002044); management rules may change.

West of the village lies the Dalgata stoka forest, which stretches along the road to the village. South of Priseltsi, beech and walnut forests cover the slopes of Stara Planina. Meadows along the mountain trail offer views of the village and the Black Sea coast near Obzor. The landscape offers distinct perspectives: forest west of the village, wooded slopes to the south, and open meadows with views of the village and coast.

Mountain trails

A trail starts in the forest south of Priseltsi and climbs into the mountains. A hike reaches the Kom–Emine route at its highest point. This gives the mountainous side of the village a specific destination beyond the meadow views: a connection to a named long-distance route. The destinations are different: the hike reaches the Kom–Emine route at its highest point, while the route to the northern entrance of Secret Military Object A leads to a different destination.

A route to the northern entrance of Secret Military Object A follows a rough road; it starts at the fountain on the edge of the village. Conditions on the routes described may change. Therefore, check the current trail conditions before setting out.

Archaeological traces and cultural history

The Achmite area in Priseltsi is associated with an ancient and medieval Bulgarian settlement. There is also a Late Antique underground tunnel and the remains of a Late Antique bridge. The dates highlight different periods: the settlement dates from Antiquity to the Middle Ages, while the tunnel and bridge are attributed to Late Antiquity. The area's history thus spans more than one period.

Another tunnel lies in the area of Priseltsi and Kosharitsa. It is abandoned and associated with Secret Military Object A. Access conditions may change; check them before planning a visit.

A cultural connection to Nessebar comes through a donation from the village: residents of Priseltsi donated traditional agricultural tools to the Ethnographic Museum of Nessebar. Archaeological traces and objects from rural everyday life thus offer different ways of exploring history.
