Parque Náutico Lagoa dos Quadros combines access to the water, walking opportunities, and several recreational facilities. Along the coast, the Beira-Mar promenade and the municipality’s beaches offer other activity options.

At Parque Náutico: Lagoon and Recreation

Parque Náutico Lagoa dos Quadros covers 9.5 hectares and is designated an Área de Preservação Permanente (APP). The park includes access to Lagoa dos Quadros, where visitors can swim. In 2025, it was highlighted as one of Capão Da Canoa’s most important tourism and recreation spots. Outdoor walks are also possible; the park includes an area with tables and barbecue grills.

Parque Náutico also has a playground and an area designated for sports. This means you’ll find several specific recreational options here: swimming in the lagoon, outdoor walks, and play and sports areas. During your visit, you can choose between the water, exercise, and the available facilities.

Beach Promenade and Coastal Activities

The Beira-Mar promenade is a public space for recreation and also serves the municipality’s tourism and economic development. One section is along Avenida Beira-Mar in Capão Da Canoa; kiosks line the beach promenade. Unlike Parque Náutico, the promenade itself is the main attraction here, while the park is characterized by access to the lagoon and its recreational facilities.

Some areas on the beaches of the municipality of Capão Da Canoa are suitable for surfing, fishing, and swimming. Together with swimming in Lagoa dos Quadros, this gives you a clear distinction for planning your day: the sea and the lagoon offer different water experiences, while surfing and fishing are additional activities available at the municipal beaches.

Culture and Local Cuisine

In September 2025, the Festejos Farroupilhas and the 9th Festa Campeira took place at CTG João Sobrinho in Capão Da Canoa. During Semana Farroupilha 2025, the event featured artistic and musical performances, traditional dances, and campeira competitions; typical cuisine was also celebrated. These events brought together music, dance, competition, and food.

Another example, from January 2025, is the second Feira da Agricultura Familiar: more than 600 products were offered, and two kitchens also sold traditional dishes. Unlike the Farroupilha events, the fair brought products together with prepared food. If you’d like events to shape your stay, check the dates for your travel period. The fair took place in January; the Farroupilha events followed in September 2025.
