Several mountain bike routes on Mühlberg follow the Güterweg Moserhof. Their onward routes and destinations differ: 4C Pass Thurn offers the option to return or take the named connecting routes, while 4I Plattwald and 4J Mörchenboden continue to different destinations. There is also a hiking route at Panorama Alm and a bike-and-hike tour from Bramberg via Mühlbach. If you are looking for a hotel in Mühlberg, these specific routes provide a starting point for deciding what you would like to focus on during your stay.

Mountain bike routes on Mühlberg

The “Bramberg: 4C Pass Thurn” tour follows the Güterweg Moserhof steadily uphill to Mühlberg. It continues via Grub, Schrettlehengut and the Wasenmoosweg to the Panoramabahn middle station. To return, you can take the same route back to Mühlbach; alternatively, you can extend the tour via connecting route 4I Plattwald or 6B Panoramarunde. For comparison, it is important to note that 4I Plattwald is mentioned here as one possible extension of 4C, but is also a standalone mountain bike tour. Whether you return along the same route or take one of the named connections changes the rest of the 4C route.

As a standalone tour, “Bramberg: 4I Plattwald” follows the Güterweg Moserhof up to Mühlberg as far as the Plattwald car park, then continues to the Resterhöhe reservoir. “Bramberg: 4J Mörchenboden” also follows the Güterweg Moserhof up to Mühlberg, but then continues via Grub and the Plattwald car park to Peilbergalm. Both tours mention the Plattwald car park, but they continue to different destinations: 4I goes to the Resterhöhe reservoir, while 4J goes to Peilbergalm. When choosing between the two routes, you can therefore use their respective destinations as a guide.

Loop, hike and bike-and-hike

The “Bramberg: 4J Mörchenboden” mountain bike tour also offers the option of doing a loop and returning via Baumgartenalm in the Mühlbachtal valley. Route conditions may vary seasonally. This is distinct from the “Resterhöhe – Baumgartenalm” hiking route, which passes Panorama Alm. Panorama Alm is located at Mühlberg 52, 5733 Bramberg. On route 4J, Baumgartenalm is part of the possible return journey; on the hiking route, it is a named destination along the trail. Panorama Alm, meanwhile, is a point along this hiking route.

The “Bike and Hike Bramberg – Hoher Rettenstein 2366m” tour begins with a mountain bike ride from Bramberg to Mühlbach. From there, the route goes through the forest via Mühlberg, passing several alpine pastures, to Stangenalm and then on to Stangenjoch. Mühlbach is an intermediate point on this route, not the starting point. For orientation, the route can therefore be read in this order: Bramberg, Mühlbach, Mühlberg, Stangenalm and Stangenjoch. Check local conditions and access for this tour.
