At Parque Nacional Ciervo de los Pantanos, Campana Partido protects more than 5,000 hectares of a valuable ecosystem made up of wetlands, grasslands and riverside forests. Three trails lead to viewpoints over the wetland; the Camino Islas Malvinas offers a different experience with its cycling route. In the nature of Campana Partido, you can choose between panoramic hikes and a longer route with named endpoints.

Exploring the Wetland on Foot and by Bike

Each of the three trails in the national park is almost two kilometers long and leads to one of two viewpoints with panoramic views over the wetland. You can hike on your own or with an expert guide. For planning purposes, you can consider the approximate length of each trail individually; expert guidance is also available if you would rather not go alone.

The 5-kilometer Camino Islas Malvinas connects Estación Rómulo Otamendi with the Costa del Paraná pier and can be cycled through the wetland. It is longer than any of the three trails and offers a different way to explore: rather than leading to viewpoints, the route runs between two named places. Cyclists will find a specific route here, while the shorter trails focus on the viewpoints.

Exploring the Campanense Delta by Water

The Campanense Delta covers 577 km² and has more than 1,500 residents. Its waterways include the Río Paraná de las Palmas, the Río Carabelas and the Río Paraná Guazú. They are joined by the streams Arroyo Las Piedras, Arroyo Negro and Arroyo Las Rosas, as well as the canals Irigoyen, Alem, Laurentino Comas and Zorrilla. You can explore this landscape by boat from Puerto de Campana.

Here the focus shifts from views of the wetland and its trails to exploring by water. The rivers, streams and canals give the delta its distinct geography; Puerto de Campana is the named starting point for a boat excursion. Campana Partido offers different ways to experience nature, without requiring the same kind of activity.

Wine and Railways in Campana

In Campana, Bodega Gamboa offers picnics among the vines, wine and cheese tastings, guided tours and the chance to take part in the grape harvest. Options range from spending time among the vines and sampling wines to joining a guided tour or participating in the harvest. When planning your visit, consider whether you would most like to have a picnic, enjoy a tasting, take a tour or join the grape harvest.

The Museo Ferroviario displays the “Córdoba” locomotive in its courtyard. It comes from the quarries of Alta Gracia. The locomotive’s name and origin give this specific exhibit a distinct connection to place: it is on display in Campana and is said to have come from Alta Gracia. The museum also offers a look at an individual object and its named origin.

A Recreation Center Accessible by Boat

Camping Recreo Blondeau is a recreation center that has been operating for more than 100 years. It is 18 kilometers from the Port of Campana and can be reached by passenger boat. If you include this destination in your plans, check the passenger boat schedule in advance. Its history of more than a century, stated distance from the port and boat access give this destination a distinct character among the different experiences in Campana Partido.
