A beach access point with raised wooden walkways, a stadium opened as a venue for beach sports, and cultural attractions in nearby La Floresta give you clear points of reference for planning a trip to Costa Azul. Not all the places mentioned are in Costa Azul itself: the Bienal is located in La Floresta, and the Paseo runs between the two seaside resorts. When looking for accommodation, you can consider whether Costa Azul itself or the surrounding area will shape your stay.

Beach Access and Coastal Protection

A municipal report dated December 11, 2020, describes the beach access in Costa Azul as having raised walkways made of treated wood. The walkways make it easier to reach the beach while also protecting the coastal ecosystem. The facility therefore combines practical access to the coast with a protective function. If the beach is important to your travel decision, this is a specific local point of reference. Check local conditions before your visit.

Beach Sports at Arenas de Costa Azul

The Arenas de Costa Azul beach stadium has a capacity of 400 spectators. It opened as a venue for beach sports such as rugby, volleyball, handball and beach soccer. It was built near Club Social y Deportivo Costa Azul. The capacity, sports and proximity to the club provide different points of reference: they show how many spectators the stadium can hold, what activities it is intended for, and which named place is nearby. If a particular sport is a deciding factor for your trip, check the event schedule for your travel dates in advance.

Art and Walking Routes Nearby

The Bienal Internacional de Escultores is part of the surrounding area and features sculpture exhibitions and workshops for children. It is located on the Rambla of La Floresta by Arroyo SarandĂ, which separates La Floresta from Costa Azul. This cultural attraction is therefore in La Floresta, not in Costa Azul itself. The Bienal offers a different focus from the beach stadium: here, art and workshops take center stage, rather than beach sports.

Another point of reference is the Paseo del Puente La Floresta–Costa Azul, a walking route between the two seaside resorts. It was designed as an open-air promenade for residents and tourists and passes an old wooden bridge of historic value. The area also gained an outdoor stage and new lighting. While exhibitions and workshops are at the heart of the Bienal, the route between the two towns and the historic bridge define the character of the Paseo project.

Getting Around and Choosing Accommodation

A municipal infrastructure report dated August 15, 2023, describes a bus route that runs through much of Costa Azul, reaches the boundary with Bello Horizonte and extends for three kilometers. Check the current timetable for specific trips.
