A practical starting point for planning in Stateline is the transfer at Stateline Transit Center: Following service changes effective January 4, 2026, eastbound Route 55 ends there; passengers can transfer to eastbound Route 50 to Kingsbury Transit Center. Check the schedule before traveling. Local highlights range from a 28-mile lakeside road to seasonal recreational activities.
Lakeside Route and Trails
The Lake Tahoe National Scenic Byway is a 28-mile lakeside road that runs from Stateline to Crystal Bay. The Lam Watah Nature Trail, also called Rabe Meadows, offers a different scale: the loop is 2.8 miles long and is near Stateline, Nevada. The two routes can therefore be easily distinguished by their length and format.
The Lam Watah Nature Trail area was used as a campsite for more than 1,000 years. The loop therefore has a historical connection in addition to its stated length. Seasonal conditions and access may change; check before your visit.
History and Orientation
The Lakeside Park History Trail explores a historic area with roadside interpretive signs and QR codes. This area includes land that first served as the Episcopal Church Camp Galilee summer camp and later became the site of Harvey’s Resort Hotel & Casino. Van Sickle offers another point of reference: it is just a short walk from the casinos in Stateline.
Events and Seasonal Experiences
The American Century Championship is held at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. The Tahoe Blue Event Center is in the Stateline, Nevada area, within the South Lake Tahoe area, and opened in September 2023. Its flexible arena spaces are designed for concerts, comedy performances, family shows, sporting events and other events. Depending on the event, the center can accommodate up to 5,200 people. If your trip depends on a specific event, check event dates before making plans.
Edgewood on Ice is a seasonal, weather-dependent ice-skating experience at 180 Lake Parkway in Stateline, Nevada. Factor in the season and weather dependence when planning, and check conditions for your travel dates.
Heavenly Village Mini Golf is a seasonal 18-hole miniature golf course in Stateline, open during the day and at night in the summer months. Dates and hours may change. Tahoe Snowmobiles Tubing Hill offers a one-hour snow tubing activity for the whole family at its Stateline location, as well as seasonal combo adventures with tubing and snowmobiling. The one-hour activity is a clearly defined block of time; the combo adventures bring together two activities. Operations are seasonal and depend on winter conditions, so check before traveling.
At Lake Tahoe AleWorX’s Stateline location, visitors can pour their own pints of craft beer and learn about the brewing process. If this experience is part of your plans, check current operations before heading there.
