Corvette Culture in Two Ways
With four lead-and-follow laps, the Z06 Driving Experience at NCM Motorsports Park takes you around a 3.2-mile road course with 23 turns. The Corvette Z06 and the course give the experience its motorsports focus. At the National Corvette Museum, the Nostalgia Gallery highlights classic Corvette models and memorabilia from the brand’s history. Discover the Corvette from two perspectives: behind the wheel on the track and through a look back at the cars and their history.
History, Art, and the Stage
Riverview at Hobson Grove is a historic house museum with views from its cupola. The Kentucky Museum’s permanent collection includes a log cabin built in Logan County around 1810. The Downing Museum features a year-round permanent exhibition about Joe Downing’s life and work. The three sites offer different historical perspectives: a historic home, a structure from the early 19th century, and an artist’s life and work.
Art and live performances also have a place here: the Rita & Jim Scott Concert Hall at SKYPAC hosts touring Broadway, country, rock ’n’ roll, and comedy shows. The Goodwin Gallery at SKYPAC exhibits works by local, regional, and national artists. Visitors planning a cultural outing can find both a changing lineup of performances and visual art reflecting a range of artistic perspectives.
Parks, Water, and Trails
The parks offer different activities. Phil Moore Park provides access to Drakes Creek for fishing. Basil Griffin Park has a boat ramp on the lake and access to fishing at FINS Lake, which is stocked by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife. Ephram White Park combines a five-mile hiking trail with an 18-hole disc golf course. Together, these parks offer a longer trail, a course, and a range of ways to enjoy the water.
At Lost River Cave, a guided hike follows the riverbank. Baker Arboretum offers views of Bowling Green and the Western Kentucky University campus. The Duncan Hines Scenic Byway is an 80-mile loop through Warren and Edmonson Counties. The route begins and ends at the Duncan Hines historical marker. These three experiences offer different highlights: a guided riverside tour, views of the city and university campus, and a loop through two counties.
