Keystone Resort is located in White River National Forest. Keystone offers different activities by season: In winter, options range from the ski resort and groomed trails to guided snowshoe tours and horse-drawn sleigh rides; in summer, hiking trails, a bike park, and other activities are available.

Winter: Peaks, Trails, and Snowshoe Tours

The Keystone Resort ski area spans three peaks: Dercum Mountain, North Peak, and the Outback. Dercum Mountain has long, groomed beginner runs, including Family Ski Trail and Schoolmarm. Conditions can vary seasonally. There are also two Snow Forts at the summit of Dercum Mountain; their construction and access may vary.

The Keystone Nordic Center has more than 17 kilometers of groomed trails for classic cross-country skiing and skating. Operations and trail conditions depend on snow conditions. The center also provides access to 40 kilometers of nearby backcountry trails in White River National Forest; winter access depends on conditions and management. Guided snowshoe tours are offered throughout the winter season, though current offerings may vary. The options differ in format: groomed trails for two styles of cross-country skiing, guided snowshoe tours, and access to backcountry trails are different ways to spend time outdoors in winter.

A scenic horse-drawn sleigh ride winds through Soda Creek Valley. This seasonal experience should be planned subject to availability. It offers a different kind of outing from the mountain and trail activities.

Summer: Hiking, Biking, and More

In summer, Keystone's ski slopes become hiking trails. A chairlift also operates during the summer season, taking hikers to mountain summit trails; operations may vary. These are two different options to consider when planning: you can choose trails on the former ski slopes or take the lift to mountain summit trails.

Keystone Bike Park has more than 100 miles of trails across 55 trails, all accessible by lift. Trail availability and lift service may change. Keystone Resort also has two golf courses with a total of 36 holes; seasonal operations may vary. These figures describe different offerings: the bike park focuses on trails and lift service, while the golf courses are described by their total number of holes.

There are various recreational activities beyond hiking and biking trails. In summer, Keystone offers snow tubing on real snow; mini golf is located in Dercum Square. The Adventure Center rents paddleboards for half-hour or one-hour periods, including life jackets and leashes. These rental details may change seasonally. Mountain Top Yoga is also a summer activity; program availability may vary.

Events and Getting Around

Warren Station hosts public events in River Run Village. The Wine & Jazz Festival there combines wine tastings with jazz music. Festival dates and details may change. If you want to plan your trip around it, check the latest dates in advance. Another seasonal activity is the covered wagon rides and campfire stories offered by Keystone Stables.

Keystone has a free regional bus service provided by Summit Stage. Routes and schedules may change, so check the appropriate connection and current schedule before planning a trip.
