Rally sport and seasonal crafts offer different reasons to visit Skållerud. They differ in timing and venue: the 2026 rally event has ended, while the craft group sells its products before Christmas and in summer. When planning your trip, it is therefore important to identify the relevant occasion and venue precisely.

Rally: multiple decisions on the same stage

In recent years, the Skållerud rally stage has been used in various formats at Swedish Rally Championship events. At the 2026 rally sprint event, SS7 was the final stage of the Rally-SM round and also the qualifying stage for the SM sprint. Two final runs were held on the same stage, where the sprint medals were decided. The Rally-SM round therefore ended with SS7, while the sprint medals were decided only in the final runs. This difference illustrates the stage’s different roles in the competition.

The spectator information is also specifically dated: at the Skållerud Stage Event on 27 June 2026, the large and only spectator area was along the Saturday rally stage. That stage was part of both Rally-SM and SM-veckan. The date therefore refers to a specific event day and complements the information about SS7 with the perspective of the spectator area.

Seasonal crafts and venues

The craft group sells its products before Christmas and in summer at Byastugan in Skållerud. Church services and events can also be held at Byastugan. Visitors may therefore have different reasons to visit the same place: seasonal sales on the one hand, and church services or events on the other. If you are planning to come specifically for a sale or an event, check the relevant date before travelling. The two sales periods mentioned provide a seasonal guide, but do not specify a particular day to visit.

Another summer sale takes place at a different venue: Frykerudsalster holds its annual summer sale at Skålleruds Bygdegård in Kil. The Bygdegård is five kilometres southwest of Fagerås; access is via an exit from the RV 61. Fagerås, the southwesterly direction and the exit from the RV 61 are therefore useful landmarks for finding this venue. The similar names are not enough to identify the location: when planning, it is important to know whether you mean Byastugan in Skållerud or the Bygdegård in Kil.

The 2026 rally sprint offers a historical connection to motorsport; the sales are tied to seasonal periods and specific venues. First, consider which occasion matters for your trip, then take into account both the relevant period and the venue mentioned for it.
