Ingatorp combines distinctive church and agricultural history with opportunities for outdoor activities. Timber Construction and Church History

Ingatorps kyrka is one of the outstanding examples in Sweden of the Nordic Art Nouveau style that was prevalent at the time. After a fire caused by a lightning strike, the church was reconsecrated in 1914. A 15th-century triumphal cross from an earlier church on the site hangs in the chancel arch. There is also a small church museum at the parish hall. Museums and Hembygdspark

The Lantbruks- och motormuseet, also known as Lantbruksmuseet Ingatorp, displays machinery used by farmers in Småland before the advent of the tractor. The museum has a unique collection of hot-bulb engines; there are also stone-crushing machines. Visits are possible by prior arrangement.

Hembygdspark itself is open at all times. The buildings and collections are accessible when the local heritage association holds advertised activities. To visit outside of these association activities, you must contact the association. In Ingatorp, the local heritage association also organises village and torp walks.

Trails and Practical Information

The Motionsslinga around Ingatorpssjön is a lit fitness and walking trail about 1.8 kilometres long. There are many benches along the Runt Ingatorpasjön route. For stage HÖ2 of the Höglandsleden, a different point of reference matters: after passing Stuverydsbäcken, also known as Skrôle Hie, the stage ends at Valbacken in Ingatorp. Thus, the Motionsslinga is described in terms of its approximate loop distance, while HÖ2 is described by the stage’s endpoint.

There is a barbecue area at Ingatorp bathing spot, maintained by a bathing spot association. Ingatorp is located on National Road 40.

Seasonal Market

The traditional Ingatorp Sommarmarknad is a seasonal event featuring food and coffee, as well as handicrafts and delicacies.
