A giant paella at the fiestas held in the residential developments and an AquaPark in a natural hollow give Ciudad Quesada two distinct attractions. The fiestas bring changing dates, while the AquaPark offers water attractions; culture and landscape reveal other sides of a stay in Ciudad Quesada.

Fiestas and Programme Years

At the fiestas in Ciudad Quesada’s residential developments, the traditional giant paella was held at Plaza Blanca in both 2025 and 2026. Fiestas in honour of San Justo are also held in Ciudad Quesada; programmes for them were available in 2025 and 2026. The 2026 programme also included a summer carnival parade along the same route as in previous years, open to anyone interested in taking part. The paella took place in two consecutive years, while the summer parade was specific to the 2026 programme year. Dates and arrangements for the fiestas can vary from year to year; details of the parade may also change from one year to the next. If you want to plan your visit around a particular fiesta, check that year’s programme.

AquaPark and Water Attractions

AquaPark is located in the Ciudad Quesada residential development in Rojales, Alicante, in a natural hollow within the development. Its attractions include slides and a rapid river, as well as four soft slides, two Kamikaze slides, three children’s pools and a large swimming pool. This provides several types of slides alongside different pools, with the rapid river adding to the selection. The hollow describes the site’s location; the other features describe the water attractions.

The History of Water

Los Aljibes de Gasparito now houses the permanent exhibition “Rojales y el Agua en el Mundo Tradicional” (“Rojales and Water in the Traditional World”). Since the second decade of the 20th century, the large storage tanks were used to market rainwater. This brings together two time periods: the tanks’ historical economic use and a present-day exhibition whose title refers to water in the traditional world. Unlike the AquaPark, the focus here is on the history of water use rather than slides, a river and swimming pools.

The Molino de Viento Windmill

The Molino de Viento windmill has a traditional façade and is set in natural surroundings on a small hill.

Parque El Recorral Nearby

Parque El Recorral is located close to Ciudad Quesada. It is a former livestock pasture grove with dense Aleppo pine vegetation. The park is suitable for outings or picnics. Its former use as a livestock pasture grove points to the area’s history; the dense Aleppo pines are its distinctive landscape feature.

Golf and Course Layout

La Marquesa Golf has an 18-hole course that is easy to walk and has no major elevation changes; the distances between greens and tees are short. For golf enthusiasts, the terrain profile and distances are key considerations. For the fiestas, by contrast, the programme for the relevant year is what matters.
