Betlanovce combines a Renaissance manor house with a church that was already standing in the second half of the 13th century. Tourists also use the village as a starting point for several gorges.
Manor House, Church and Curia
The Renaissance manor house was built between 1564 and 1568 and is the oldest Renaissance manor house in the Spiš region. Locals call it “Korunky,” after its Renaissance gable parapet. Its construction date and the local name still used today thus correspond to a specific architectural feature.
The Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian was already standing in Betlanovce in the second half of the 13th century. It underwent extensive renovation between 1731 and 1781. Its early existence and the much later renovation are two separate stages in its history. A late Baroque curia from the second half of the 18th century also stands in the village.
The manor houses in Betlanovce are currently privately owned; check access separately before considering a visit. The county manor house is currently a fenced-off ruin. Bear these different conditions in mind when including buildings in your plans.

The trail is open year-round, but weather and safety conditions may affect access. Before setting out, also check the route information, as it may change due to trail management.
A seasonal alternative is to navigate the Prielom Hornádu gorge: during the summer hiking season, this is possible when conditions are favourable and water levels are sufficient.
