Belczna draws attention to ecclesiastical history, manor-house architecture and a notable stock of mature trees. The features of the village range from a church window with a precise date to a landscape park with various historical and landscape connections. If you are choosing a stay based on your cultural and landscape interests, the village offers several specific points of interest.

Church and Manor-House History

The church in Belczna was already standing towards the end of the 16th century and is mentioned in a 1598 register. The parish church pw. ƛw. Piotra i PawƂa contains four stained-glass windows from 1914. The timeline thus spans from a mention in the 16th century to a precisely dated furnishing detail from the early 20th century.

A manor house in Belczna is considered eclectic and is dated to the 19th and 20th centuries. The manor house of the estate and the 19th-century park are listed in the register of monuments. The former rectory opposite the church houses Dworek Tradycja; the yew trees beside Dworek Tradycja are designated natural monuments. Alongside the ecclesiastical history, the estate grounds and protected trees thus stand out as distinct features of the village.

Estate Park and Mature Trees

The landscape park covers about 5 ha and lies in the eastern part of the estate park complex. Its stock of mature trees is fairly well preserved; some trees are of monumental dimensions. The park is characterised as a degraded hornbeam forest. This adds both distinctive individual trees and a particular landscape feature to the historic park. The park’s features provide a different emphasis from the church windows and manor-house architecture, giving you an additional, nature-oriented perspective when choosing where to visit.

Labes: Further Routes and Cultural Heritage

The wider destination of Labes offers other distinct routes. Two Nordic walking routes start at Polana Jahna in Ɓobez: Route 1 is 4.5 km long and takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes; Route 2 is 2.8 km long and takes about 45 minutes. They therefore differ both in distance and in the stated time required.

A longer option in the wider destination of Labes is the blue-marked Szlak Mocy i Tradycji hiking trail. It is 43 km long and starts and ends in the square in front of the railway station in Ɓobez. The route passes through the Wysoczyzna Ɓobeska and the Równina Nowogardzka, as well as through the municipalities of Ɓobez and Resko. Fields, mixed forests, hills, valleys and wetlands shape the route; it crosses the Rega several times and follows close to it in several places. At 43 km, with this varied sequence of landscapes, the trail is a different kind of route from the two shorter Nordic walking trails.

Labes also offers a regional transport perspective: the Szczecin–GdaƄsk railway line and the Gorzów Wielkopolski–KoƂobrzeg road connection pass through the Gmina Ɓobez. If you use these connections for your planning, check the timetables and road conditions for your travel date. For architecture enthusiasts, Labes offers other distinct themes: the church in Bonin was built in 1845 by Luis von Borcke. Its tower has a Baroque cupola from the 18th century; the furnishings include a 17th-century Mannerist altar and an 18th-century Baroque pulpit. The Szlak Dziedzictwa Techniki i Architektury cycle route was created to showcase local architectural and technical heritage from the 19th and 20th centuries.
