For planning your time in Zabrodzie, two hiking trails offer different durations and levels of difficulty. There are also views of Lake Myczkowieckie and a church with historic works of art. This makes it possible to plan your stay around specific route descriptions and historical and cultural details, rather than treating both topics simply as one combined list of places to visit.

Hiking trails with different durations

The blue-marked “Niebieska Łezka” route runs around Lake Myczkowieckie and also passes through Zabrodzie. It is listed as taking about six hours and as moderately difficult. By comparison, “Zielone Wzgórza nad Soliną” is described as a hiking trail taking about five hours, which is not particularly difficult but is long. Both time estimates are approximate. The descriptions therefore provide two different points of reference for planning the hikes: the approximate duration and a differently worded assessment of difficulty for each route.

You do not have to hike the entire “Zielone Wzgórza nad Soliną” route in one go: you can walk an individual section in either direction and then take the PKS bus back. This red-marked trail leads down to former Zabrodzie, now the main part of the village of Solina. This place name preserves the historical context while also identifying its present-day location.

Views and route details

The section of the “Zielone Wzgórza nad Soliną” trail near Zabrodzie offers views of Lake Myczkowieckie and Bóbrka. The panorama also includes the Kozińca Massif and its disused quarry, as well as the Żukowa Ridge in the distance. The view thus encompasses several distinct landscape features: the lake, a village, a massif with a former quarry, and a more distant ridge.

The route of “Niebieska Łezka” can also be described in more detail for planning purposes. The trail starts and ends beside the PKS bus stop in the centre of Solina, in the vicinity of Zabrodzie. After passing through Zabrodzie, it continues along Potok Wola, first on gravel roads and then on unpaved paths. The route climbs alongside Potok Wola and crosses the stream several times. These details distinguish the start and end points from the sections through Zabrodzie and along the stream.

Church and local history

The brick Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Zabrodzie was built in 1922–1923. During the interwar period, it was used jointly by worshippers of the Latin and Uniate rites. This forms part of its history; the information refers to that period.

The church houses an image of Our Lady of Sorrows dating from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. It comes from the church in Myczków and was brought to Zabrodzie. There is also a copy of the icon of Our Lady of Łopieńska, with its original silver covering. The two details have different origins: the image was brought from Myczków to Zabrodzie, while the icon is described as a copy and its silver covering is original.

The history of the village also includes the cemetery of former Zabrodzie. It dates from the early 20th century and is now a municipal cemetery. Together with the historic church, it shows two distinct ways in which the past of former Zabrodzie is present in today’s village: as a religious building with works of art handed down through the years, and as a cemetery with municipal status.
