This selection offers a range of themes to help you plan your trip, without requiring you to follow a set itinerary. First consider whether you are more interested in architectural details, landscape or a suitable event date; you can then plan your travel dates and choose your accommodation accordingly.

Chapels and Crosses

Between houses 141 and 140, on plot 1615/2, stands a brick house chapel resembling a small chapel. The fieldstone chapel at Witów 27 is on plot 1561 and is topped with an openwork cast-iron cross. Their materials and designs give you two distinct features to look out for: the brick house chapel and the fieldstone chapel with its cross. If you are planning a cultural focus in Witów, these features can help you take a closer look at each building.

The cross at Witów 109 is one of the seven crosses recorded by the municipality. Unlike the two chapels, the focus here is on a single cross; this lets you distinguish between chapels and crosses when choosing a cultural focus, rather than treating them as interchangeable points of interest.

Forest and Horse-Riding Workshops

In the northern part of the Gmina Irządze, within the Sołectwo Witów, lies a forest complex dominated mainly by pine monocultures. It adds a landscape focus to the selection and differs from the chapels and crosses as a built feature. When weighing up culture and nature for your trip, you can consider these themes separately or include both in your plans.

Annual horse-riding workshops are organised at Stajnia Maj Szkółka Jeździecka, at Witów 1, as part of “Wakacje w siodle”. The programme may also include first-aid demonstrations by OSP Witów and various outdoor games; these activities are not guaranteed at every annual event.

Events in the Municipality

For the 2025–2035 planning period, Witów is scheduled to host the “Po Irządzku” series. The series is intended to promote cultural heritage and support local businesses and craftspeople. The “Święto Porzeczki” is held annually in the Gmina Irządze, combining the promotion of regional products with the harvest festival. At the Gmina's 2025 harvest festival, the Koło Gospodyń Wiejskich from Witów presented and laid down a harvest wreath. The annual “Święto Porzeczki” is a municipal festival; the harvest wreath from Witów, by contrast, was part of the 2025 harvest festival. If you would like to plan your stay around a festival, check the exact date in advance. The two events have different focuses: “Po Irządzku” is intended to support cultural heritage, local businesses and craftspeople, while the “Święto Porzeczki” combines regional products with the harvest festival.
