Tokary combines a clear focus on golf with a historic manor and park complex. A cycling route runs between Tokary and Warzenko; lakes and other destinations broaden the picture of the municipality and the surrounding area. For planning purposes, Tokary itself and the wider region can therefore be considered as distinct levels.
Golf in Tokary
The Tokary Golf Club operates an 18-hole golf course on a 65-hectare site. One PAR-6 hole measures 540 metres and is said to be the only one of its kind in Poland. The 65 hectares describe the scale of the site, while the 540 metres refer to a single hole—two different measures of what the club offers. Club guests also have access to covered tennis courts and the “Roda” restaurant, which serves Polish cuisine.
Manor History and Historic Monument
In Tokary, a preserved park belonging to a former manor is part of the historic manor and park complex. The complex is listed in municipal and heritage protection registers for the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The grounds also contain an evangelical tomb of the Liss family dating from the mid-19th century. The park recalls the former manor, while the tomb adds a specifically named family and historical period to this broader context. Here, a historic landscape feature and an individual funerary monument offer distinct perspectives on the history of the place.
Cycling Route to Warzenko
The cycling route between Warzenko and Tokary is 1,457.76 metres long. It was built with a two-metre-wide surface of concrete paving stones. The precise length is just under one and a half kilometres; the width and paving describe other features of the same connection. This gives cyclists an idea of how the route is constructed as well as how far it runs.
Lakes in Przodkowo Municipality
The municipality of Przodkowo, to which Tokary belongs, is located in the Kashubian Lake District. The municipality is home to Lakes Tuchomskie, Głębokie and Tuchlińskie, whose shores offer opportunities for recreation. These three lakes broaden Tokary’s focus on golf and culture to include waterscapes and lakeside recreation, while remaining within the municipality.
Destinations in the Surrounding Area
Near Tokary, the Rutki hydroelectric power station is located on the Radunia. It is still in operation and can be visited by prior telephone arrangement. Rutki is also home to the lattice bridge, which is used by climbing enthusiasts because of its location and design.
The Norbertine convent complex in Żukowo is also part of the surrounding area. Its former convent church is considered the oldest architectural monument in Kashubia and houses numerous valuable works of art dating from the 14th to the 18th century. Compared with the engineering structures in Rutki, Żukowo turns the focus to monastic architecture and art history. The nearby destinations therefore differ not only in location but also in their historical or technical focus.
