Garcz offers two clearly distinct starting points for a stay: the municipal bathing area on Lake Łapalickie and cycling connections that meet in the village. This makes it possible to choose the location based on whether swimming, a shorter bike connection, or a section of a longer route is your priority. The route details refer to different points of reference; they should not be read as one single tour.

Swimming at Lake Łapalickie

The municipal bathing area in Garcz on Lake Łapalickie has a designated swimming area, a pier, waste bins, and a toilet. A lifeguard is planned. This makes swimming a specific option for the focus of your stay. At the same time, seasonal access and water quality may change. If you plan to swim, take the time of year into account and check conditions before your trip.

Cycling connections with different routes

The 4.8 km Sianowo–Garcz secondary cycling route connects in Garcz with the main cycling route. A different point of reference is the 13.2 km section of this main cycling route from Kartuzy to Złota Góra. It runs through Łapalice, Garcz, Chmielno, Zawory, and Ręboszewo. The two figures therefore refer to routes with different starting and ending points, not to the same route in two versions. When choosing, first compare the respective routes and endpoints; the distance alone does not show which connection suits your planned day of cycling.

The Droga Kaszubska should also be distinguished from these cycling connections. Its original route begins in the village of Garcz and is intended for motorized trips. In the wider region, it is about 20 km long and passes through the central part of the Kashubian Landscape Park. Although it can also be cycled, heavy car traffic makes the ride dangerous and unattractive. Traffic conditions may change. If you are considering this route by bike, check the current situation; do not confuse it with the specifically designated cycling routes.

Choose your stay based on what matters most

For planning, it helps to first decide between swimming and cycling, then choose the type of route that suits you. For swimming, seasonal access and water quality are important. The cycling options differ in length, route, and purpose: the Sianowo–Garcz connection is shorter than the Kartuzy–Złota Góra section, while the Droga Kaszubska is intended for motorized trips and comes with a caution about cycling. If you are looking for accommodation, base your choice on the activities that matter most to you, and check the location of the specific property in relation to your planned destinations.
