Dobków offers a range of highlights for a discovery trip: earth sciences, crafts, sacred sites and viewpoints. At the Sudecka Zagroda Edukacyjna, models, digital visualizations and hands-on experiments are used. The Chapel Trail features 26 sacred sites, described on information boards. When planning, you can choose between interactive learning, a circular route and individual viewpoints.

Earth Sciences and Crafts

The Sudecka Zagroda Edukacyjna is an interactive earth science center. Models, digital visualizations and experiments that visitors carry out themselves offer different ways to explore the topics. Children can get a free explorer’s passport: by visiting, taking part in workshops and doing activities in the field, they collect stamps and stickers. As program details may change, check the latest information before your visit.

The Ekomuzeum Rzemiosła has a different focus. Craftspeople invite visitors into their workshops. Beekeepers explain how honey is harvested and processed; visitors can also handle exhibits and talk with artists. A look inside the workshops, an explanation of honey processing and direct conversations each add a different craft-focused dimension to the visit.

The grounds of St. Giles’ Church also feature a historical detail: a Gothic chapel that was remodeled in the 19th century.

Chapel Trail and Viewpoints

The Chapel Trail is an eight-kilometer circular route. Along the route are 26 sacred sites, described on information boards; there are also viewpoints and ceramic galleries. The trail therefore offers a clearly defined route if you would like to explore several of these stops on one circuit.

For a more targeted viewpoint, head to Mount Kapliczna. It has a viewpoint and a historic wayside chapel. It takes about 15 minutes to reach on foot from Dobków, and the view extends across Dobków and the Kaczawskie Foothills. This gives you two different options for planning: an eight-kilometer loop or a viewpoint that is about a 15-minute walk from Dobków.

There is also a developed viewpoint, Trzy Okresy Wulkanizmu, on the outskirts of Dobków. You can drive to this viewpoint. Check road conditions before setting out.

Summer Café and Creative Activities

In summer, Kuźnia Korzenna in Dobków becomes an artistic café. You can sample special baked goods and attend demonstrations of gingerbread making and carving. Workshops are offered for children and adults. The café operates seasonally, which is relevant when planning your trip; if you want to include this part of the offering, plan around the stated summer period.

Przystanek Dobków is a gallery of local products and a venue for creative workshops. This adds more creative activities to the science and craft offerings without requiring you to plan around a specific scheduled event.

Planning and Getting Around

Cyclists also have a specific option to consider: the city of Świerzawa’s cycling guide lists a route that passes through Dobków. As route details may need to be confirmed locally before setting out, check them in advance.

There is free, unguarded parking in front of the Sudecka Zagroda Edukacyjna for four coaches, as well as parking for individual visitors. Parking arrangements may change, so check before you travel. Together with the advice to check road conditions for the viewpoint and route details for the cycling trip, this provides practical guidance for planning your journey and activities.
