Osielsko combines a swimming pool with hiking and cycling routes. The activities offer different things to focus on: at the pool, lanes, a water slide and water activities take center stage, while trail length and destinations help you find your way along the routes. This lets you choose between a visit to the swimming pool, a section of a hiking trail and a bike ride during your stay.

Swimming Pool and Water Activities

The swimming pool in Osielsko has six swimming lanes and a 50.5 m water slide with a vertical drop of 6 m. The 50.5 m refers to the length of the slide, while 6 m is its vertical drop; the six swimming lanes are a separate feature of the pool. Aqua aerobics, swimming lessons and diving activities are also offered at the pool. This means there are other water activities to choose from in addition to swimming laps. Check the pool’s current operating details before your visit; for aqua aerobics, swimming lessons and diving activities, you should also check the operator’s current schedule.

Choose Hiking Trails by Length and Direction

Three hiking trails can be distinguished by their color, name, length and endpoints. The red Szlak Klubu Turystów Pieszych TALK trail runs along a 13 km section from Osielsko to Opławiec. The green Szlak im. inż. Pawła Ciesielczuka also runs from Osielsko to Opławiec, here over 9 km. The two sections therefore have the same endpoints but differ by four kilometers. If you are choosing by length, you can compare these two trails directly: the green section is shorter, while the red one is longer. The yellow Szlak im. inż. Tadeusza Janickiego adds a route in a different direction. It runs for 9 km from Bydgoszcz Brdyujście railway station to Osielsko. The green and yellow trails are therefore the same length but lead to different destinations: one runs to Opławiec, the other to Osielsko.

A Longer Cycling Route

For cyclists, there is a longer option: the approximately 37 km Przyjazna – Osielsko cycling route passes through Niemcz, Osielsko, Jarużyn, Jastrzębie, Żołędowo, Bożenkowo and Maksymilianowo before returning to Niemcz. In terms of distance alone, it is about 24 km longer than the 13 km hiking section and around 28 km longer than the 9 km sections. The return to Niemcz marks the circular route; Osielsko is one of the places along the way. A 2011 guidebook describes this cycling route. Check its current status before relying on it for navigation. Osielsko also has a different role depending on which route you choose: it is the starting point for the two hiking trails to Opławiec, the endpoint of the yellow trail, and part of the circular cycling route.
