A hiking and cycling route runs through Gošići from Radovići towards Babunci. Its highest point is at 250 metres; for one section, it follows an old Austro-Hungarian stone road. The elevation refers to the route’s highest point, while the stone road is explicitly mentioned only for one section. Before setting out, check the local surface conditions and signage, as both may change.

A circular route in the wider destination of Tivat

In the wider destination of Tivat, a circular route runs through Tići towards Žanjice, through olive groves towards Marovići, and back to Radovići via Zambelići and Begovići. The route through Gošići heads towards Babunci, while the Tivat loop includes other named sections and its return to Radovići. This distinction helps with planning: if you are looking for a route with an explicitly described return, the circular route is the clearly defined option for comparison. Check access and current route conditions before setting out.

Natural attractions in the wider destination of Tivat

Solila is a coastal wetland of about 150 hectares opposite Tivat city centre, in the Bay of Krtole. Since 2013, it has been listed as a Wetland of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention and is also designated an Important Bird and Biodiversity Area (IBA). Solila is also a candidate for Emerald site status under the Bern Convention. Here, the focus is on the wetland and its conservation designations; the routes, by contrast, concern their course and individual sections.

Tivat City Park offers a different connection with nature: visitors can stroll in the shade of mature, partly exotic trees. Some trees are up to 130 years old and 25 metres tall. The park has been a nature reserve since 1968 and was declared a natural monument in 2015. This illustrates the different natural features within Tivat: Solila is a coastal wetland, while the city park is a place for walks beneath old trees.

Cultural history and summer programme in Tivat

Buća Luković dates back to the 14th century and is considered the most monumental and best-preserved historic summer house of its kind in Tivat. Its fortified, 15-metre-high tower dates from 1548 and is now used as an art gallery. In the museum and gallery rooms of the medieval Buća complex, the “Ethnographic Heritage of Tivat” collection presents exhibitions on art, ethnology, archaeology and documentary topics. Tivat thus offers a historic summer house, an art gallery and a range of exhibition themes.

The PURGATORY Festival takes place in Tivat in summer, from mid-June to the end of August. Most performances are held on the summer stage at Buća Summer House. As dates and venues for future editions may change, check the information for the relevant edition before planning your trip.
