In Mišići, the sea and the hilly hinterland are in visible contrast. Parts of the coastal area are covered with low vegetation, while others are rocky. If you are looking for accommodation, this contrast offers a practical starting point for choosing a location: would you like to focus your stay mainly on the coast, or take the hills into account as well?

Landscape and the Katič Protected Area

The land portion of the Katič area includes the cadastral municipality of Mišići. Katič is an integrated coastal and marine protected area; it was officially designated on September 17, 2021. In Mišići, this landscape offers a way to explore both the coast and the hinterland, alongside a protected area whose designated boundaries encompass land and sea.

Beaches near Čanj: Sand, Pebbles and Access

Čanj, near Mišići, offers another point of reference for a stay on the coast. Čanj Beach is 797 metres long and covered with fine sand and pebbles. Biserna Obala in Čanj is considered a family beach on the Bar Riviera and is characterized by its sandy surroundings and crystal-clear sea. Beach conditions may vary by season.

Kraljičina plaža has different access: the nearby beach can only be reached by sea and is surrounded by sedimentary rock. These are different features to consider when planning: at Čanj, the length and beach surface are key; at Kraljičina plaža, it is access by sea.

Road connections when choosing accommodation

There are two specific road connections to help you find your way around Čanj. Čanjska Road runs through Mišići alongside Čanj Beach. A road connects the coast at Čanj with the M2.4 Bar–Budva Road in Mišići. When comparing accommodation, check which of these reference points is relevant to your planned coastal destinations for any specific address.

Birdwatching on Lake Skadar can also be arranged, either from a boat or from the Stanaj observation tower. Registration is required at least one day in advance.
