Gluhi Do can be explored through three specific themes: its connection to wine, village traditions and a trail stage with stated figures.

Wine and Landscape

The first mention of Gluhi Do dates to 1371. The place is described as rich in water and fertile; sunny conditions support winegrowing. Gluhi Do lies near the Crmnica plain and Lake Skadar. These details give its connection to wine a specific landscape setting.

Zavjet welcomes guests for visits and guided tours by prior arrangement. Organised tastings take place in a modern wine cellar; prior arrangements are also recommended for these. Winery Matkovina is also located in Gluhi Do. At Đuković Winery, visitors can sample local wines and taste gastronomic specialities from the Crmnica region. Visit, tasting and dining arrangements should be confirmed in advance; apartment availability can also change. At Đuković, the local wine offering is complemented by accommodation: the hospitality complex in Gluhi Do includes rustic apartments overlooking the Crmnica plain.

The Church of Saint Michael

According to local tradition, the Church of Saint Michael is considered the oldest church in Gluhi Do. Following its restoration, it is in liturgical use and is located near the entrance to the Sozina road tunnel. Two historical claims should be distinguished: the year 1371 refers to the first mention of the place; the church’s age is based on local tradition.

A Trail Stage with Stated Figures

The Buljarica–Presjeka–Gluhi Do route passes through the hamlet of Jasen and then follows a country road through Gluhi Do. The Presjeka–Gluhi Do section is 6 km long and has 480 m of descent. One section of the route includes a stream, abandoned pastures and forest. Its length and descent provide two specific points of reference when choosing this stage.

A route description mentions a short overgrown section in winter 2024; trail conditions may change. Check conditions before your tour.

In the wider Bar destination

In the wider Bar destination, licensed operators organise boat trips on Lake Skadar; boats depart from places including Virpazar. There are nine marked hiking trails in the national park, which visitors can use independently with a map. Maps are available at the visitor centres in Virpazar and Vranjina. Birdwatching on the lake can also be arranged from a boat or from the Stanaj observation tower; registration is required at least one day in advance. The trail options differ in their format and starting point: in addition to the marked hiking trails, the national park has five cycling routes and two mountain biking trails; cycling routes start in places including Virpazar.
