Fleckeby combines its location between the Schlei and the Hüttener Berge with water sports, outdoor activities and a historic walking trail. This gives you several ways to shape your trip: time on the water, exploring protected landscapes, local history and a seasonal café. You can decide which of these aspects will define your stay based on your travel interests.

The Schlei and the landscape

The surrounding protected landscapes offer opportunities for hiking, cycling, swimming and sailing. The options range from activities on land to outings on the water. Check local access conditions when planning specific activities.

In Fleckeby, there is access to the Schlei for sailing and motorboating, as well as mooring facilities. A regional historical brochure lists a local sailing harbour with 60 berths. Check the mooring facilities and their availability with the local operator before you arrive.

Walking trail and local history

The historic walking trail runs from the Hardesvogtei to the Schlei, then back through the village centre. The route takes you in a clear sequence from the Hardesvogtei to the water and then the village centre. The Hardesvogtei houses an exhibition on the history of the former Harden in the Duchy of Schleswig. A trail brochure helps you find your way along the route. If you are looking for a guided tour, check separately whether one is available.

Art café and seasonal garden

Fleckeby Art Café is on the edge of the village. Its offerings include cake, hand-filtered egg coffee and handicrafts. There is also a seasonal garden with more than 150 varieties of roses. The garden adds a seasonal touch to a café visit. As the café’s opening and garden details may change, check both before visiting.

Getting there

Fleckeby can be reached by car via the A7 and B76. If you plan to travel by bus, check in advance which routes and service frequencies apply to your journey.
